65 cl bottle, Calgary, AB, Canada, via Winnipeg. Jet black, rum and raisin aroma. Cherry sweet flavour, then a dark chocolate bitterness. More oak-sweet on the finish. Very nice.

Bottle shared by ferris during RBWG ’14. Poured an oily dense pitch black body with very little head. Aroma is nice, bourbon, vanilla, green veggies, lots of roastiness, dark wet toast. Bigger body than I was expecting, full with average carbonation. Flavor is good but not as nice as the aroma. Notes of dark toast, bourbon, vanilla extract and lots of roastiness. Good stuff.

22 oz. bottle shared by Ferris- thanks again! Pours a deep, opaque brown with no head. Notes of brown sugar, bourbon, molasses, vanilla, chocolate, marshmallow, coconut, and dates. Medium-bodied, with a smooth mouthfeel and low carbonation. Nice bourbon barrel imperial stout.

UPDATED: APR 28, 2014 Bottle thanks to Ferris at the RBWG 2014 grand tasting, thanks! Pours near black with a grayish brown head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has lots of raisin/dark fruit notes with sweet dark grains and bourbon backing. Flavor has sweet raisins and dark fruits with dark grains and a strong bourbon in the finish.

Sampleda t 2014 RBWG. Also, my first beer from Manitoba. Black, actually seems a bit purple. Winey aroma, with chocolate and coffee. Taste is smooth chocolate, lots of red wine, coffee, and a bit of a boozy finish. Not bad!
