Bottle thanks to kbudd19. Black with a beige head. Aroma is liquorice, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, fig, oak. Velvety mouthfeel, bittersweet on the palate, slightly hot finish. Taste is chocolate, roasted malts, vanilla, bourbon. Could use a little more aging.

No head to speak of; reddish tinted black beer. Sweet, alcoholic, roasted, caramel & toffee, Bourbon. More bitter-roasted than sweet initially, but then the Bourbon-vanilla jumps up, leaving sweet, but also wry-bitter flavours lingering on. Very well-bodied, oily viscous, and a bit undercarbonated. Impressive on first sight, but again one to taste but once.

Hella thanks to kbudd19 for this bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma hits you with roastiness, coffee, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is the same, very nice mix of stouty and bourbon notes, with vanilla and oak tannins ever present. Lightly sweet and medium bitter, almost too bitter. Medium plus body, nice and creamy. This is a great effort, a bit short on complexity, but very nice nonetheless.

Epic. Pored black with a mahogany/red/brown head. Velvety feel with a dark chocolate taste. Higher in alcohol, for sure.. The bourbon definitely makes itself know in the aftertaste. Very smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Believe I got the bottle from biere_froide! Dark mahogany edges with onyx at its core and a tightly packed chestnut head. Oh, the aroma! Brownie batter, fudge, baker’s chocolate and Nestlé Quik all there. Godiva, Ghirardelli, and Hershey would all be proud! Flavor shows a bit more bourbon and alcohol than I’d like with some split vanilla bean, roasted coffee, and gooey caramel taking a back seat. Quite thin for the style. Still a good Impy Stout.

Bottle. Pours black with small thin mocha head. Smells of Big coffee, vanilla, oak, roasted burnt malt, dark fig and a little booze. Smells really good. Taste is coffee forward, Bourbon, some vanilla, oak and a little carbonation. Big bold flavor but finishes thin for an imperial stout. Overall this is a good stout.
