COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To admit that the brewer at Half Pints is a bit of a hophead is an understatement. This India Pale Ale is unabashedly hoppy, not only from the Amarillo hops we add to the brew kettle, but also from the northwest U.S. variety called Cascade that we add directly to the final tank. A firm toasted malt presence forms the background for all of these hops, and we're confident our Little Scrapper IPA could take other so-called IPA's to the mat if called upon to do so. Try it with a curry or a basket of beer battered fish & chips. Serve in a glass at 8 degrees celcius. Unpasturized.

From a bottle into a tulip glass. Pours a very hazy orange color with a huge, pillowy white head that sticks around. Aroma has a mix of grapefruit, light orange and typical "cascadey" nose with a light touch of crisp, sweetness from the malt. Flavor has a very nice grapefruit and orange citrus mix. The grapefruit lends a slight acidity and the orange actually tastes like orange slices in the brew. Alcohol creeps up late in the tasting. Body is modest with a slight hot feeling. Overall a pretty good IPA with a good dose of hops.

My all season go to beer. Citrus and hops dominate this beer. Nice carbonation, sexy lacing and just all around balanced. Not a "hop monster" but its not supposed to be. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice hop aroma coming off the light amber body. Grassy and pine are the main notes coming through. Big punch of hops up front and a good crisp bitterness to finish it off. slightly drying on the back.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2012 Un nez d’agrumes avec un goût prononcé de houblon avec des notes d’annanas. Un goût IPA très amer au dessus une bonne bière blonde. Excellent.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2013 Pours a great slightly cloudy golden colour. Aprox 3/4 an inch of nice white head that slowly shrinks leaving decent lace. Smells of pine, grapefruit, and a light toasted malt profile on the nose. Taste is majorly of grapefruit balanced by some roasted malt. Fantastic ipa.

Bottle (12 oz). Traded by northropfrye, thanks Andrew! Clear golden/amber with a huge slowly diminishing white head and major lacing. Aroma of floral hops, some citrus with piney and herbal notes. Taste is piney and floral with a good malty backbone and slight citrus. Moderate bitter finish. Dry mouthfeel. Good sessionable IPA with a tad too much malty presence for my liking but still drinkable and thirst quenching.

Bottle sample. clear deep golden with a small white head. Floral hops aroma and bizarre faint skunk. Caramel malt flavor and marmalade, with medium bitterness and a metallic note. Light-med body, feels a bit off.
