COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with divine inspiration and a combination of pale 2-row, Vienna, and medium crystal malts, this snappy ale is finished with East Kent Goldings and Czech Saaz hops. A special blend of yeast strains creates a malty, fruity aroma with a decidedly spicy finish. Try it with the Belgian classic mussels and pomme frites or falafel, fresh pita, and roasted garlic Tzaziki. Serve at 6 C. in a wide mouthed chalice. Unfiltered. 22 IBUs

Bottle shared with northropfrye. Pungent, earthy aroma... a little woody. Amber orange appearance, clear, with a frothy head. Slightly sweet, medium bitter... made me want to drink more. Kind of herbaceous. Medium body with lively carbonation and bitter finish. Yum!

Dark amber body, foamy off-white head and nice lacing. Malty aroma, dried fruit. Taste is sweet dried fruit, a touch of banana, quite dry, would like a bit more richness and dept of flavour. Overall a pretty nice Belgian ale.

Interesting brew. I like it. Malty and medicinal flavours...some dried fruit and bread. Flavours are malty and bready at first before a nice hop finish. Lively beer. Well rounded and quite good.

Shared with savvy1982 Thanks Kyle! Pours orange with a small off white head. The aroma is quite malty with hints of yeast. The flavor is like a nice Scotch ale. Decent carbonation. Not bad but it may have been a little past it’s peak.

Bottle. Huge thanks to Dave from Half Pints for giving me this, apparently his very last bottle. Labelled as a Belgian Pale, I’d peg this as more of a Belgian Scotch Ale. Pours a toffeeish amber, thin off-white head, very little lacing. Nose is butter-brickle, very faint hops, mild yeast, spicy and pleasant. Palate is rich, but not boozy, quite sweet, more caramel notes, nice dried fruit character, surprisingly dusty finish. Nice.

Bottle. Dark brown with a thick ring of bubbles. Taste-seltzer water, unsweet honey, barley, light husk, good malt backbone. Good use of malts.
