Bright orange in colour with small white head. Port like flavours, rasins and fruit. Smooth citrus bitterness that lingers. Well balance. Go Steve!!!! donfardz64 (538) - Wellington, New Zealand, NEW ZEALAND - OCT 24, 2008
On tap at the Malthouse before Beervana day two. Pours very cloudy amber, fully diminishing white head. Toffee aromas, some weak hops and weaker malt aromas. Flavours of bitter bitter hop dominate, toffee and alcohol come in as hops relinquish. Bitterness lingers for quite some time. TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - SEP 26, 2008
Draught from the Malthouse, well deserved at the end of a hard time on the other side at the Beervana beer festival. Definitely one of sip slowly at the end of the night. kempicus (343) - Bakewell, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - SEP 19, 2008
Tried at the malthouse. Interesting beer, it’s syrupy but that’s not surprising, the hops do a pretty good job at cleaning it out but i’m left feeling that it’s borderline a bustop beer and could do with more hop. It’s slightly nutty and does have a dryness to it....like i said it’s an interesting beer and i’m still torn....maybe i need to try more...
