Pours a light and clear golden colour. Aroma has elements of white wine and flowers. Strange dryness.

Dark golden colour with quick fading head. Has the typical Alvinne funky yeast aroma and some white wine. Bready, malty, yeasty, sharp fruits.

Pours clear amber. Good white head, that fades within seconds.. Smell is Sharp, rather SS et, typical alvinne yeast. Taste is funky. Bit ’sweaty’ . alvinne yeast, yes, as well as a decent bitterness. Somthing off though. Still drinkable, but i can only imagine this aint whatbit is supposed to be

33cl bottle, and ... and surprise, a gusher. lot# 728, BB 07/2016.

UPDATED: DEC 7, 2015 RETRY 06/12/2015 @home - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Appearance is same. Nose has hints of fruitiness and sourness, but more spices and bitter hops. Taste is hints of fruitiness, spices, some pepper, light sourness, dry bitter ending. 22/02/2015 @ home - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Hazy orange colour with small dissipating head. Aroma is bready, spicy. Taste loads of yeast, spices some sourness. Something didn’t seem right. Maybe infected? Might try the other bottle I have and try a rerate but for now?

Alengrin (5369) - BELGIUM - AUG 21, 2014
UPDATED: JUL 5, 2015 Tripel-like specialty beer commissioned by Pado in Tielt. Cream white head, foggy peach blonde robe. Bready and fruity aroma, apple, strawberry, banana and dried apricot, soft honeyish malt sweetness with a refreshing lemony accent, flowery hoppy finish. This has clearly improved since it was first made ten years ago, it has gained body, complexity and balance, so I will only take the current version into account for this rating.

Bottle. Light amber coloured beer with a large white head and some average carbonation. Hoppy aroma with some very light herby and roasted hints. Full palate. Finish is bitter fruity with a longer bitter finish. Medium.

Bottled (from beerplanet.eu). Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized white creamy head that leaves some lace. Aroma is fruity, spicy, rathery malty as well as slightly yeasty notes. Flavour is fruity, spicy, a bit yeasty and also has some slight notes of alcohol and also some strange vegetablylike notes. Except for the slight vegetably notes this was a rather pleasant brew.

Bottle, bought @ Beer Planet, Brussels.
Pours muddy pale yellow with a firm, frothy, white head. Aroma is heavy white pepper, sweet malts, fair grassiness. Meidum, prickly carbonation, fine light oily mouthfeel. Flavour has light tartness, lots of pepper, light ginger touch. There is some milkiness to the tartness that makes me think that it is not intended. Lots of peppery bitterness at the end though.

tderoeck (9669) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUL 14, 2010
bottle @ Bierjutterij festival, Oostende (BE). Pours a cloudy yellow to orange beer, solid white head. Smells very yeasty. A very strong bitter tastes with spices. Some hints of caramel. A very dry bitter and spicy aftertaste as well.
