Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, chocolate - coffee, expresso - coffee, vanilla. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, artificial vanilla, thin. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

BF 2011 (backlog). Very deep reddish brown colour with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, caramel, some ashes and mild chocolaty notes. Flavour is chocolate, caramel, mild roast, some toffee and ashed. Pleasantly balanced, big roasted finish.
On tap. Pours a cloudy opaque dark brown with a creamy beige head. Subtle dark dried fruit aroma, a little sweet vanilla and roast. From tap at Ølbaren. Lasting, low, off-white head to a more or less jet black body. Slightly roasted dark malts to the nose with vanilla sweetness lurking in the back. Mocha-like taste character, slightly roasted and supported by hints of liquorice and nuances of spices. Plain bittersweet ending. Pleasing (04.11.2011).
