Weak foam, but it is also an oak aged and strong imperial stout, so the foam can be rare in such ale. It has become a strong and tasteful stout how hard roasted malt dominate. It also has a lovely rich flavor of oak and notes of dark rum gives a slight warming sensation. Little touches of mocha aftertaste. Nice and round. rouhlas (3616) - GREECE - JUN 16, 2015
From old notes. From tap at Copenhagen Olfestival 2012. Black color light beige head. Malty aroma, roasted, some chocolate and coffee, fruits, light alocoholic. Sweet and light bitter taste like aroma. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 15, 2012
Sample from the Flying Couch stand at Ølfestival 2012. Black with a scant mocha head. Bitter chocolate and cold coffee stand out but rum is a forceful presence in this beer. That said it never overpowers things completely and adds to the experience pretty well. It was fine for a sample but I think I’d probably struggle with a larger measure.
