Draught @ Fermentorenesox (1226) - Oulu, FINLAND - FEB 17, 2012
Aroma is rather nice with lots of coffee, some chocolate and hints of peat. Flavour is dry with well roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and hints of peat. Some sourish vomit aromas do occur at the end of the glass. Good porter, this one surprised me.
Bottled. Very dark brown beer with a creamy and lacy head. The aroma is rich in bready maltiness with soft and chocolatey roastedness and a hint of smoke. Starts sweetish but dries as the bitterness increases in the finish. Dark ripes, a hint of yeasty spiciness and some molasses in the finish. Medium to full bodied, silky texture. Very nice porter. Bottle at Valhal, Frederikssund. Black with a medium beige head. Aroma and flavour of roasted malt, chocolate, fruit, licorice and coffee. DonThomas (7) - - JAN 27, 2012 does not count
A fruity smelling, nice foam, dark beer of the porter type. The beer is like the fishermans goodlooking daughter. Sweet fruity and with a taste of licorice with a small peppermint overtone. Down to earth but too refined for working in a harbor. A nice beer for nice homes and relaxed company. Even for your own company, dvelling in introvert reflections.

Bottle from Fonefan, thanks! Almost black and opague. Roast, cream and dark chocolate in the aroma. Medium to full bodied. Creamy roasty flavor with dried fruit and lots of dark chocolate. Well balanced porter, not too sweet and full of flavor. jesperhammer (5017) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 11, 2011
09-JUL-2011, bottle @Ulkløbben Summerparty. Served by the brewer.
Black with brown head.
Licorice and some smoke on the nose.
Taste is roasted, again with some smoke but just enough to make it interesting.
Sweet with low carbonation and full mouthfeel. Some hops ends it all and adds to the bitterness.
Quite easy drinking for a strong porter. Japalo (1887) - DENMARK - JUL 2, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 24, 2011 Bottle. Black with two finger foam. Roasted tar- like licorice aroma. Long bitter-fresh crisp taste. Pleasant harbourbrew. Second tasting just as well or better humlelala (1375) - DENMARK - JUN 13, 2011
(50 cl bottle from Knud Bahr) Pours a deep black with rich, thick toffee head that laces the glass heavily. Pleasant, smooth aroma of toasted malt, licorice, coffee and chocolate. The texture is creamy with soft carbonation. Taste is full-bodied, medium bitter with a bitter finish. A very pleasant brew. (ed. note: The name for this beer is actually spelled "vodbinder" in Danish, not "vådbinder")
