Amazing porter from a brewery I had never before heard of, and they apparently almost only distribute the beer locally. The beer was pitch black with a yellowish medium high head. Aroma has everything I want in a porter - liqourice, coffee, smoke, tar, and old rope. Flavor was very likewise just more complex, maybe with some dark chocolate added to it. Finish was solid bitter, and palate thick and creamy. A very good porter in the same class and taste-style as the beloved and classic "Limfjordsporter" - maybe even a little better! Fantastic.
pitch dark small yellow head.
faint roasted aroma, faint brown sugar.
flavor is roasted stuff, toffee, dark caramel, bitter hops, booze. unbalanced. gnoff (10336) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - MAY 9, 2010

6 Quite grainy aroma
4 Black even in a narrow class. Tan fizzy head.
7 Very roasted and burnt taste, quite grainy at first, but more burnt later on. A little harsh and papery. Not getting much coffee or choc. Perhaps
some very stale coffee.
3 Carbonation lively. Finish an bit acrid due to ashiness. Hops there too, but not enough to win.
13 Not one to drink in any quantity, as it’s a bit overpowering

Nelson, København. Dense tan cream head. Ruby shaded, black body. Subtle aromas of sourish dark fruits, light ashy dark malts and a soft roastedness. Coffee-ish and roasted malt flavor. Some smoke notes and a gentle bitterness. Very smooth and creamy in the mouth, with a soft sparkling carbonation. Mid-bodied.
Finishes dry and light bitter. Elegant and well-crafted.
(Bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki) Poured as black with quite large and light brown head. Aroma contained roastedness and liquorice. Palate was full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were roastedness, liquorice, chocolate, ash, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was roasty and bitter. sunevdj (4087) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2010
Pours black with a beige head. Dry and hoppy with aromas of toasted malts. Also hints of peat and tiny hints of band aid. Medium bodied. Dry, hoppy and toasted finish with dark chocolate and alco-warmness. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - DEC 14, 2009
Bottled (thanks Timo A.). Very deep brown, close to black, colour with small brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, nuts, some smoked wood and also mild liquorice and some alcohol. Flavour is smoked wood, some grains, ashes and liquorice, leather and some mild alcoholic sweetness as well. Pleasant brew. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - DEC 2, 2009
It’s pitch black with a nougat colored, creamy head. The aroma has notes of licorice, light smoke and black coffee. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of licorice, light smoke, bitter chocolate and the finish is roasted bitter – a really nice one!
