deyholla (12663) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 4, 2015
Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear deep amber with a gray head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a nice smoked note with a bit of sweet grains and bread underlying. Flavor combines bread and smoke with a bit of sweetness underlying.

4 or 5 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom. Consumed on 7-3-14. Pours a hazy, amber-ish, medium brown with a small amount of beige head. Raisin, plum, caramel, toffee, and raspberry scents. Aroma reminds me of a raisin muffin. Dusty dryness atop a fruity caramel sweetness in the smell. Fruity, sweet taste reminds me of Fruity Pebbles or Fruit Loops. Caramel maltiness, undercooked bread, and orange flavors. Tastes good. A touch tangy in flavor. Some dryness in the finish. Smooth and soft in the palate, a bit oily and adequately lively.

Draught at the brewery. Very dark, nearly black. Light smoke in the aroma. Well roasted malt and some sweetness. I especially like the smoke in this beer, and wish there were more of it.

Pours a nice dark amber. Aroma is toffee, dark cherries, sticky caramel malts, floral and earthy. Taste follows in the same vein with some warming qualities. Smooth palate and mild roast aftertaste. Not bad at all!
