Keg @ Pig Ate My Pizza. Somewhat cloudy reddish brown pour with a tight head. Surprisingly hoppy. Plenty of burnt pine. Charred grain. Mild mole. Some smoke. Medium body, bright carb. gopherfan99 (2000) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 7, 2017
Tap; pour nearly black with a tan head; aroma of toasted malt, caramel, chocolate, and some earthy notes; taste is roasted malt, caramel, and some hints of chocolate; dry, slightly bitter finish deyholla (12811) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JAN 29, 2017
On tap at Pig Ate My Pizza. Pours a near clear deep amber with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of smoke and dark bread with a hint of roast supporting. Flavor is similar with a nice smoke and dark grain combination with a hint of sweetness. islay (3317) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 7, 2016
4 or 5 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. Consumed on 6-30-16. Dark brown with nice, long-lasting, taupe head. Dark amber hue. Good lacing. Licorice candy scent. Coffee with sugar. Combo of sugary sweetness and roasted bitterness in the smell. Doesn’t achieve a balance. Rather, a bit too much of each. A bit of sassafras / root beer in both aroma and flavor. Roasted bitterness in the taste. Licorice and coffee. Tastes more like a porter than a brown ale. Tarry, especially in finish. Not at all noticeably nutty. Medium body. Frothy in the palate. Ordinary palate effects. Not what I was looking for but certainly not awful. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUN 18, 2016
draft that poured a medium dark brown with off white head. as expected the nose is roasted malts, some nice hop presence and smoke. I do love their smoked beers which is about all of them. nice balance in the flavor of roasted malts and hops. quite tasty and the smoke is a nice addition. yummy in my tummy.

Damn good! Almost a stout! It isn't a blend of a mild and a dark, it's not based on brown malt...but it's really really good! I love the roasted barley aroma, yet it's smooth like a brown and definitely not patent like a porter. Recommend!

Draft. A pretty ho hum brown ale. Has a nice spicy hop presence to keep it somewhat interesting but the malt base is weaker. rondphoto (4586) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - MAR 24, 2015
on tap @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Opaque brown/black color, solid smooth 1" beige head, sheets and strands of lace. Big aroma of toasted malt. Taste is full-bodied malt with a toasted edge that grows substantially as it moves through the palate to a solid hop finish that still allows the malt to hang around. Way bigger than 6% suggests, and way bigger than any Brown Ale I’ve ever had. Recommended. arminjewell (9747) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAR 7, 2015
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish brown pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of cocoa, nuts, some earthy notes into a bit of caramel, toffee. Taste was a mix of caramel, toffee, nutty notes into some cocoa powder, slight yeast, touch of grain.
