Ahhh, Hamm's. I have to say I'm rating the version brewed by Pabst a couple of years ago. I haven't had it since Miller took over stewardship of the brand. I can only hope they're not putting Milwaukee's Best in Hamm's cans. Under Pabst it was still a very drinkable beer. When Hamm's made it and then Olympia, it was a damn good beer, easily besting any of the more popular national brands...and one of the early draft beers in a can. Clean, refreshing and always consistent. I have a nostalgic bone for Hamm's Draft - the beer refreshing! Puss Gutt99 (206) - Oldtown, Florida, USA - JAN 26, 2002

I liked this one fine, not as much as the original Hamm's but it's the best genuine draft there is. Slick (1969) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - APR 12, 2003
I can't say this is there best rendition of beer not as good as the regular and as i can see by the other rating's,I'm on the same page as everyone else.Nice golden color, slight head, weak flavor of water and small hop taste nothing special but will do the trick on a hot summer day.

Bought in the 12 oz can...Nice simple black, red and gold design.
Not a bad looking macro lager, clear, bright golden yellow with a nice sized frothy white head..that doesnt last too long. Some carbonation visible.
Nice "clean" aroma..mostly of malts but some hop detetcted.
Taste is actually not too bad for a macro..malty sweetness up front followed by a sort of bitter astringency ( though its not unpleasant)..that may be the hops.
Sort of watery in the mouth..has a dry finish.
I was pleasantly surprised by this cheap beer..hell it is not what I would call a good beer..but its a perfectly acceptable American macro.

I used to hate regular Hamms but my father-in-law would leave some in the fridge for himself and I’d drink it just to spite him. Developed a taste for it. This is more metallic tasting than the regular version, so it’s not as good. But it’s not horrible either. Malty, hoppy, and inexpensive for what it is. drunkenbum84 (73) - kenosha, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 1, 2007
My favorite of the 3 varieties of hamms. Pours a golden color with a corn and malt flavor. Its one of the better ultra cheap beers out there.

Strong alcohol aroma, but nice color. Taste is simple enough for the style with no unpleasant aftertaste. Definitely not a great beer but exceptional for the price. beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - JAN 22, 2007
12 oz. can. Pours a deeper gold than the typical american lager with a moderate white head. Aromas of caramel, corn, and malt. Same qualities in the flavor. Really not a bad brew.
