One of the better Pale Lagers I have tasted. Better aftertaste than other more commercial lagers.

16 oz. can. Six pack for $3.99. This pours a very clear golden yellow with a lively carbonation and thin white head which quickly dissipates. The aroma is clean and the taste is very light with very little malt character. That is no wonder, since this is yet another beer brewed by Miller from high fructose corn syrup. They produce one beer with many names such as Hamms, Pabst, Old Style and Old Milwaukee. You will notice that a beer like Miller High Life contains much more flaked corn rather than HFCS because you can taste the residual sweetness from the corn, but this beer is very dry. They would also seem to be saving money by not adding as much of the foam enhancer propylene glycol alginate to these beers as opposed to their "Miller" named brands. All in all, these beers are clean and just fine as thirst quenchers.

Can. Pours yellow. Aroma and flavor are pale malt, funky lager yeast esters, adjuncts, and faint grassiness. Light body.

Can at Tempest - San Francisco. Pours clear yellow with a small, white foam heading. The nose holds cereal, pale bread, light hay. Moderately sweet, with more cereal, minimal bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with more cereal, dry pale bread. Simple stuff, but a nice and drinkable pale lager.

Pours a pale gold with a so-so white head that diminishes. Aroma is corn and bread. Taste is sweet pale malt, boiled corn, bread and just a tad of hop bitterness.

Pours a clear, fizzy, gold with a small, fizzy white head. Aroma is mild grain and sweet malt. Flavour is bland and a bit sour; hints of grassy malt and grain. Light body with plenty of carbonation. Bad but could do worse.

Cut and paste all these mass produced beers would have a hard time telling any of them apart

Honestly was surprised to find this in NJ. Cheap, but drinkable. Has near non existent aroma, and the flavor is of light grains and some hop presence. Pours a yellowish straw color with a decent amount of foam (which disappears quickly) . Was expecting this to be nasty but its passable.

12 ounce can at a local dive bar, 9/2/16. Clear very pale golden, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of grain, grass, mild corn. The taste is grassy hops, corn. Thin.

I have to still rate this beer down, way down. I just became a filthy, dirty, every day garden variety hipster for this review and the only beer worth drinking is one so crammed with hops as to make vinegar taste sweet by comparison. Hey, thats what us hipsters like, like...........Hamms is not some over-rated hipster IPA spewing nothing but carbonated hops, so automatically it fails. Dude.

16 oz can @ Keg Liquors / Clarksville IN --- Sweet aroma of malt and corn. Clear straw color, generous white head that drops to a thick cover, strips and bits of lace. Taste is typical American regional brew - thin sweet (corn) malt, medium fizz, only a suggestion of hops, lingering sweet at the end. Works best on hot afternoons, otherwise, not worth bothering about.
