I really like this beer. Am drinking one from a large bottle but have tried draught as well. Much more body than many other danish strong lager. The head disappears rather quickly which is normal for Hancock beer. Has a rich sweet/bitter taste and the bitternes lasts in the after taste together with some sweetness. Be careful not to serve too cold. Its 6.3 and should not be served ice cold - if done so you will only taste the alcohol. Goes well with a danish open sandwich lunch.

Bottle at restaurant. Golden color, white head. Vitter taste with citrus, toast, malts and grass. Bitter finish with citrus, toast, malts and grass. Decent lager.

Bottle poured into nosing glass. Pours crystal clear orange with quickly vanishing white bubbly head. Malty earthy nose slightly herbal. Taste is slightly metallic bitterness, earthy intense grassy, hay, alcoholic backbone. Finish is intense dryish herbal.

En fin maltet smag, smag af karamel og en hel masse sødlig malt. Smager ikke af saaz.

0,7 l bottle. Clear dark golden in the glass, one finger white head. Malty on the nose, alcoholic. Taste starts smooth, little bit malty, some fruity elements like apple. Mid alcoholic sharpness. Mid bitterness. Can not really convince, especially for that nearly 30,00 dkr I had to pay.

ALIBALI (2122) - Kiel, GERMANY - AUG 23, 2016
0,6 l Flasche. Ein Geschenk meiner lieben Nachbarn.

Ok øl, lidt kedeligt, men god allround øl.. Stærk øl men ikke for spritteret....

DraftDodger (1532) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 16, 2016
Copenhagen 16/4 2016. 70 cl bottle from Meny. Classic golden label with red silhouette of red rooster. Pours clear pale yellow with dense white head. Settles as thin layer of foam. Aroma of malts with a sourish tinge. Some metallic alcohol in the background. medium carbonation and slightly thick palate. Taste has discrete malty sweetness and nice bitterness which lingers in the aftertaste. Nothing unforgettable - but a nice bitter strong beer.

Leighton (21299) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2016
Bottle shared at the 2015 edition of the chriso Pre-GBBF tasting - London. Sourced from the chriso vault. Vintage c. 2008 - BB 2009. Cheers! Pours clear gold with a mellow, creamy white head. Some dusty paper in the nose, light caramel. Light to medium sweet flavour with prominent sugary pale bread character. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Dry and dusty on the finish, with more pale bread, simple white sugar. OK stuff, especially considering the age.

Gubihumle (602) - Nørre Aaby, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2015
Flaske. Farven er gylden og skumkronen er hvidt og tæt. Aromaen er malt og humle, medens humlen er meget tydeligere i smagen. De laver altså gode øl hos Hancock.
