COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Balanced and Resinous. Midwestern malted barley provides a pedestal for you to experience the flavor and aroma of the citrusy Northwestern hops which are the showcase of Hangar 24’s version of a true classic. An American Pale Ale. Additional Information: What makes Hangar 24 Pale Ale special is its smoothness. Carefully selected hops added at just the right times during the brewing process, including post fermentation, give a deep hop flavor without the coarse bitterness that some associate with pale ale.

On tap at the brewery: Pours a transparent deep golden with a clingy-lacing froth of white head. Has a nice fresh grapefruity hoppy nose with some soft pale malty sweetness. Starts with good fullness and light maltiness with good fresh hop presence before a crisp resiny finish. A nice APA.

Clear amber color/ white head. Mild pine, honey biscuit aromas. Easy drinking honey malt flavors with pine, floral hoppage- good.

Bottle:   Hazy golden, very orange and dirty, fine sediment floats about, large frothy white head, fairly nice lacing.   Musty candied citrus peel nose, pale hops.   On the tongue its a little musty/barnish.   Not real bright, hops are subtle.   Tiz clean, but not as hoppy as I would have liked.   I did sit on this bottle for a while, so no doubt it has mellowed.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finish feels musty, a little over the hill.   That aroma just encapsulates me, just this candied citrus peel makes me want something sugary sweet.   Perhaps a little over the hill, but still clean and enjoyable.   Thanks Tim!

Bottle. Quite light golden-amber with a decent head. What little aroma there is is light and grassy. This drinks with a definitive earthy feel, musty and dirty, yet light and easy drinking. Bring on a pulled pork sam’ich. (#3886, 4/21/2010)

This poured a clear orange.amber color with a beige head. Aroma was of light citrusy and medicinal hops, and some grainyness and pale malt there. Flavor was mainly pale malt with light fruit hops and some toast too. Ehh.

On tap at the brewery. It pours gold with a white head. The aroma is citrus, grass, and hints of tropical sweetness. The flavor is light with a strong citrusy, grassy, orange hop finish. A bit light on the palate.

Clean aroma of citrus and pine as well as light biscuity malts. The flavor is more hops. Not over the top bitterness, just a nice hops profile of citrus and pine as well as a nice biscuity backbone. Soft lingering hoppy resins. Really nice APA.

Crisp, slightly hazy copper coloured body with a thin off-white head that dies fairly quickly. Aroma of fresh resiny and citrus hops with some caramel and rye behind the scenes - a bit earthy too. Medium-bodied; Nice resiny and citrus hop flavours at first with some rye, specialty grains, caramel and figs noticeable in the taste. Aftertaste is lighter, grassier, a touch sweet and a bit earthy - with the good subtle hop notes finishing it off. Overall, a nice lighter APA with some pleasant hop notes, a touch of grass and a little sweetness. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Super Jr Market in San Diego, California on 06-May-2012 for US$2.19 sampled at home in Washington on 15-May-2012.

Has a pretty good hop aroma. Looks fine. The flavor is hoppy, but certainly not overly so, a pretty good balance, although maybe a bit more malt at times than I like. Still pretty solid.
