COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Balanced and Resinous. Midwestern malted barley provides a pedestal for you to experience the flavor and aroma of the citrusy Northwestern hops which are the showcase of Hangar 24’s version of a true classic. An American Pale Ale. Additional Information: What makes Hangar 24 Pale Ale special is its smoothness. Carefully selected hops added at just the right times during the brewing process, including post fermentation, give a deep hop flavor without the coarse bitterness that some associate with pale ale.

bottle from hophead22 aka TIM. Thanks tim! Pours a clear amber with a foamy beige head. Really nice floral hop aroma, with some bread, and some citrusy hops. flavor is citrus, earthy, grass. loved the initial aroma, but it faded fast. very smooth. seems nice enough

Bottle from Vons. Nose is somewhat sweet with a bit of hoppiness and a biscuity note. Understated dry hoppiness up front with a pretty strong malt foundation. Not super bitter, but not sweet either. Tasty pale ale.

I had this on tap at Hangar 24 in Redlands. Good malt & hop balance up front, witha bit of dry finish.

Tap @ Hamilton’s Tavern. Pours a clear deep golden color with a one finger thick white head that left some spotty lacing. Nice nose of light hops, grass and cereal grains. Flavor was crisp and malty with a light hop bitterness.

Cask at the brewery. Rating #1 and the very first cask beer that H24 has produced. Love the way cask beer looks, nice gold color with that fantastic cascading action and a rich full creamy white head. Aroma was very fragrant, sweetness from the honey and a beautiful hop presence. Creamy mouthfeel, light sweetness from the honey and a nice hoppiness, good stuff. (1038)

Big hop presence, but does not assault the taste buds. Very nice head, coats the glass all the way down. A beer you could drink all day. Brilliant!

[Tap] Darker golden pour with a small but lasting white head. Nice aromas of perfume, citrusy hops and some fresh pine. Notes of floral hops, grapefruit, lemongrass, honey and biscuits in the flavor. Medium in body. Crisp and clean hoppy finish. A nice beer that I could drink a lot of. Tasting notes from 8/2014.

Pours a slightly hazy, dark golden straw color with a two finger frothy head that has good retention, slowly fading into a lasting cap/ring. Streaks of lace left behind. Delicate floral hop aroma with grassy, saaz-like notes along with pale malt, light fruit, bread and biscuit. Fuller bodied than expected with a spicy, crisp hop bite that lingers over the pale malts and light fruit notes into slight dry finish. Grassy with floral pine needle flavor followed by apple and pear sweetness, bread and biscuit. Nothing groundbreaking but this is a solid pal ale that’s flavorful and easy to drink.

Thank you Floydster for the undated 12oz bottle. Clear golden with a one finger off-white head, good retention. Aroma has sweaty grapefruit rind Cascades up front with some light pale malt behind. The flavor is much the same, with a touch of pine coming through. The finish is semi-dry with bitterness around a 3 at the back corners of my tongue. Also, there was something slightly grassy at one point. Light body with light to moderate carbonation. Good enough APA with no flaws.

12 oz bottle from local grocery store. Pours a translucent brass color with a small white head that has fair retention. The aroma is soft and indistinct with mild grains, grass and a hint of melons. The flavor, unlike the nose, is fairly assertive, with complex citrus--I get oranges, mangoes and papaya. The malt base is bready and compliments the hops nicely. The palate is a bit on the lighter side which is appropriate for the style, and the carbonation is lively. Finishes short and dry. Overall: I’m impressed, this pale ale rocks.
