2016 750ml. Black like a stout should be. Aroma is roast, oak. Taste is dark fruit, raisins, barrel, a bit of sweetness. More brandy than bourbon. The cream stout comes through pretty well.

Ratebeer Best bottle share. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head and a huge chocolate aroma. There is a nearly full-bodied chocolate and treacle flavor with a smoky alcohol finish. BuckeyeBoy (9342) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JAN 29, 2017
750ml bottle pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice coffee roast malts bourbon barrel vanilla. Taste is more of the nice bourbon barrel vanilla coffee. ineedbeer (2357) - Oakland, California, USA - DEC 8, 2016
Poured from a 750 ml bottle.
Aroma is rich with a lot of milk chocolate and some lighter dark chocolate. Light roast notes with hints of bourbon and brandy. Some light dark fruit notes and hints of oak.
Pours black with a medium large, thick, creamy, mocha head that shows really nice retention as it slowly recedes to a thin ring that lasts on the edges. Light lacing and moderate length legs.
Flavor is rather sweet with lots of milk chocolate. Some lighter dark chocolate and roast notes. Some light dark fruit notes with down raisin and prune. Some toffee and caramel notes. Light brandy and bourbon flavors with a light oak note. Lactose note is pretty light which is nice. Light alcohol spice.
Mouthfeel is fairly full bodied, silky and creamy with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a pretty nice cream stout and I don’t really like these lactose stouts. Nice chocolate notes with good barrel characteristics.
