One of my favorite all-time beers! Tasty to the max, full-flavored, easy to drink and enjoy porters. All the flavors of chocolate, vanilla and banana are easily recognizable. Just a really good beer to enjoy. dwyerpg (6062) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - SEP 21, 2011
Not a lot of chocolate in the aroma. This is really tasty. An excellent chocolate flavor, very strong but very very good. (Note: had lots of beer left over from the party in growlers..this one held up the next day the least). Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 9, 2010
Growler courtesy of hophead22. Pours dark brown with a nice, sustained tan head. Nose is dominated by roasted malt, dark fruit, some chocolate, peppery hints, caramel. Tastes of roasted malt, chocolate, mildly bitter, spicy, some figs and prunes. Rich, velvety mouthfeel with a peppery, slightly dry, roasty finish. Excellent! euniceradio (525) - Worthington, Minnesota, USA - JUL 8, 2015
22 bomber to cervoise. Pours dark brown with short tan head. Aroma of chocolate, sweet malts and candied dark fruit. Taste is same with roasty toasty malts and smooth semi bitter finish. A little heat in the finish. Good but typical porter. Itzjerm (2794) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - OCT 26, 2009
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2011 Thick and great. A unique flavor for a porter. Its like christmas chocolate milk. A wonderful enjoyable flavor. Very unique. The BEST porter I’ve ever had.
Had this a second time... not as good. It was a bit watery 2nd time around.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown with an active brown ring of fizz at the top.
Aroma: Cocoa, vanilla and roast. A little bit of roasted nuts as well.
Taste: Vanilla, roast, chocolate, walnuts, and a very small hop presence.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied and rich.
Overall: One of the best porters I have ever had. An amazing vanilla presence in porter always makes me happy. hopscotch (11049) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - FEB 21, 2010
Growler… This beer rocks!… A hard pour results in a black, mostly clear brew with a huge, creamy, off-white head. Never-ending retention. Crimson flashes are revealed when my pint is held up to the Sun. The excellent aroma bestows rich notes of mocha, toasted tree nuts (all of them) and vanilla. Maybe even a rumor of cinnamon in there. Full-bodied and super creamy with dancing carbonation. The flavor is opulent and much the same as the aroma. Balance is nearly perfect as the dark roasted, luxurious malts are countered by heavy handed, slightly metallic hops. Roasty, bittersweet finish (maybe a touch more bitter than sweet). Huge thanks to DuffManSW for providing me the opportunity to finally try this world class porter! I haven’t enjoyed a porter this much since 2008. On draft at Hangar compliments of Hophead22. Poured a very dark brown with thick ass off-white head. Aroma was very roasty with chocolate, burnt toast and biscuits. Taste was roasty, chocolate syrup, dark fruits and vanilla. Very nice carbonation. Overall very very tasty stuff. I like this much better than the first version. kathouse (1875) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - MAR 4, 2013
Aroma is very grainy, cereal with some vanilla, and roasted malt. The dark mahogany color is topped with a cream colored head. Body is pretty light but well carbonated. Dark cocoa and vanilla mixes well to finish with a slightly dry and roasty ending. mspindler (489) - Alta Loma, California, USA - DEC 18, 2009
On cask at Hangar 24. Pours a nearly black color with very nice cascading carbonation. Aroma is roast and chocolate, surprisingly lacking the banana characteristics of past batches. Flavor is more roast, a touch of coffee, a good deal of vanilla that really brings out a nice chocolatiness. Slightly less sweet this time around also. Creamy on the palate, soft carbonation.

On tap at Hangar 24. Pours a very dark brown with some clarity and a thin beige head. Aroma is pure banana, vanilla and chocolate. Flavor is really the same. Sweet and very unique, liked this better than the first batch but the sweet vanilla flavor could be toned down a bit. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Overall, a very tasty and unique porter.
