22oz bomber pours slightly hazy copper with light tan head. The aroma is full of yummy spicy hops rimmed by little bits of grapefruit and then a touch of cherry hard candy. The taste is yummy spicy hops running head long into a mild level of cherry hard candy like esteriness as well as notes of slivers of malt sweetened floral like hops. I wonder if this has been on the shelf for a bit longer than expected. ISO the freshest sample possible to see if it differs from what I’m drinking now. I’m a sucker for a good spicy hopped brew and this one is really good but isn’t blowing me way like many others have. I find the sort of sweet hard cherry candy note distracting. changeup45 (1731) - Lake Mary, Florida, USA - MAY 16, 2012
Rusty amber color with a lasting thick off-white foam on top. Floral and citrus aroma with toffee, biscuits, and caramel keeping up. Balanced IPA. Sweet soft caramel and toffee malt flavor with crisp bitter resinous and citrus hops. Dry finish. A little toasted nutty note mixes in. Unfortunately, when it comes to west coast IPAs, which is a category full of stand outs, this one might be east to forget. But no doubt, it’s a damn good beer. greenhorn1 (850) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Bomber. Pours a hazy orange, big head that dissipates quickly leaving some great lacing. Aroma and flavor is a citrus bomb balanced nicely with malt. Very active carbonation which brings out the hops. Somewhat dry on the palate, very easy to drink. I haven’t seen this in 12oz bottles, but when it does this will become a standard in the frig this summer. HoochieMama1 (32) - - MAY 3, 2012

Bomber purchased at Holiday Wine Cellar ($5.99). Pours a red-tinged sunset color with two fingers of eggshell-hued head and lots of floaties. Aroma is on the weaker side but has notes of earthy-herby hops and citrus and tropical fruit. The initial flavor is hoppy with notes of spicy hops, bitter grapefruit juice, and bitter herbs but is soon followed by a malt presence of honey and caramel as well as some alcohol. Nicely balanced flavor profile. Quite a dry finish with some lingering bitterness. Somewhat prickly carbonation. Decent IPA. (81, 369) dcschiller (2208) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - APR 20, 2012
(22oz bomber from Saarlander for the RB Hockey Fantasy League). Pours a hazy copper color with a nice two finger off-white head that leaves sticky lacing. Aroma has some great tropical and citrus notes. Taste is malt sweet with some pleasant bitterness. Medium bodied and lots of citrusy bitterness in the finish. Not over the top, but pretty steady. Picked up a bomber bottle at Bine and Vine Bottleshop (welcome back!) in San Diego, CA. Poured it into a tulip glass. Pours a hazy, ruddy amber color; with a fluffy, off-white head that leaves nice, scattered lacing. Fruity, sweet, herbal hop aroma. Flavors are nice, with a sweet maltiness that gives way to a long, bitter hop finish. Body is not too heavy, and that helps keep this one very drinkable. This is a really nice, tasty IPA overall; one that you could sip on all night.
