I’m never sure when a beer is going to fall into the spiced beer category or it’s base beer style. This is as spiced as any beer but classed as it’s base, a strong porter. Pretty nice job with the pumpkin and spices, as expected from this brewer. Light roast and chocolate, moderate levels of pie spice and pumpkin. Quite smooth and tasty. Aroma: cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin, toasted malts. Appearance: black, small, beige head. Taste: medium sweet. Palate: spicy sweets, nutmeg and cinnamon, very malty. Overall: great Imperial Porter, nice pumkin flavours. Pint at Yard House Downtown, San Diego. maddmatt639 (331) - Pacifica, California, USA - JUL 13, 2014
Medium retention and no lacing. Smells of nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin. Tastes of spices, nutmeg and cloves. Spice aftertaste.

On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau. Like many pumpkin beers, this is really pumpkin spice and Porter. A lot of upfront allspice and nutmeg. Color is brown with some red or orange highlights. Tastes similar to smell. Get slight chocolate and minimal roast from the base beer. Not a bad pumpkin beer as far as they go. Itzjerm (2866) - Taft, Tennessee, USA - MAR 1, 2014
I like cool whip on my pumpkin pie. This has the pumpkin the crust and the cool whip. Great nutmeg aroma. Sweet maltiness. Nice mouthfeel. Why didn't I buy another bottle.

Deep mahogany brown in color... Aroma of pumpkin, spices, cinnamon, nutty malts... Fairly strong nose... Flavor is spicy throughout, prevalent notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, molasses... Pumpkin is kind of secondary.... Finish with spices... Delicious

Dark coffee hue.The pumpkin is lighter than the spices and is tasted throughout the beer. Spices are dominated by cinnamon which also dries out the beer. Other pie spies finish out the flavor. Tastes and smells great. Sometimes it reminds me of root beer. If your craving a pumpkin beer this will satisfy you. Deep dark and delicious. dwyerpg (6187) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - DEC 31, 2013
A strong cinnamon pumpkin aroma. Reddish hue. This is an all-in pumpkin/Christmas ale. I get tons of nutmeg, some other spice I couldn’t identify (guessing allspice from the description) and pumpkin. A bit sweet. Not for me. jjgmd (2162) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - DEC 28, 2013
Bomber. Pours a dark brown color with a small head. Nose is pumpkin, and spicy with nutmeg and cinnamon.....and sweet. Taste is spicy with a pleasant combination of pumpkin and chocolate. Finishes on the same spicy pumpkin and chocolate notes. Finish is moderately long. Delicious! Quaff score 8 / 10 zgaier (1951) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - DEC 28, 2013
