This beer combines the rich, roasty flavors of a porter with those found in a traditional pumpkin pie. The complex aroma practically jumps from the glass. An intriguing mix of chocolate and spice The flavor is robust with notes of dark chocolate, pumpkin pie and a caramel sweetness accentuated by a generous addition of molasses to the boil. The interplay of the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and allspice gives this beer a very pleasant finish. Additional Information: The pumpkins used in this brew were grown at Larry Jacinto farms right down the street from the brewery. We were very excited when Larry told us that he had a great crop of pumpkins growing literally mile from the brewery. Once the pumpkins were seeded and quartered, we teamed up with the Gourmet Pizza shop in downtown Redlands to utilize their giant pizza oven to help roast all that pumpkin. This beer was a true community effort!

Mahogany colored pour with a khaki head. Really heavy cinnamon sugar and ginger aromas. Some sweet brown sugar, toffee, and toast. A light roasted quality, some nutmeg, and roasted malts. The flavor is also very heavy on the cinnamon qualities. A lot of brown sugar, some nutmeg, plenty of all spice, hints of roast and chocolate, and a light ginger bite on the finish. Only moderate malt sweetness.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours dark brown with ruddy glints and a creamy tan head. Aroma is primarily pie spice. Med body. Flavor is chocolate, dark malt and pie spice. Might be a veg hint. Veg isnt my forte. Overall its tasty and rather out of the seasonal mainstream. Nice stuff.

Im never sure when a beer is going to fall into the spiced beer category or its base beer style. This is as spiced as any beer but classed as its base, a strong porter. Pretty nice job with the pumpkin and spices, as expected from this brewer. Light roast and chocolate, moderate levels of pie spice and pumpkin. Quite smooth and tasty.

Bottle at jtclockworks place for a tasting. Pours a mostly clear brown with a thin beige head. Big spicy gingerbread on the nose, roast and a bit of bakers cocoa. Medium bodied, spicy malt and toast, pie spices, warm roast and malt. A bit of alcohol peeks through. Chocolate and cocoa linger over pie spices into the finish. Interesting and tasty.

Tap at H24. Great foam, deep amber brown pour. Great lacing. Excellent spiced pumpkin pie nose, rich and authentic. Taste is solid, nice spiced medley, somewhat chalky finish. Slight lemon, somewhat watery. Solid, impressive pumpkin beer. Simple. Not sticky or boozy or cinnamon dusty.
