UPDATED: NOV 25, 2012 Pours a near pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is of roasted malts, pumpkin, dark coco, spices, and some molasses. Taste is similar with roasted malts, pumpkin, allspice, cloves, ginger, dark coco, molasses, and some caramel malts. Has a medium body with semi creamy body with a semi dry, roasty finish. Overall, a tasty pumpkin porter that would be great with Thanksgiving dessert.
On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg, some molasses. Taste is cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin spices, vegetal, slightly sweet and then a bitter, burnt-ish finish. Spices dominate here and I can’t tell if the burnt flavors are from the roasted pumpkin or the molasses notes. UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - NOV 1, 2016
deep amber pour, small tan head. light pumpkin spices, slightly sweet, pumpkin, bready malt. clean yeast profile, spice lingers. medium body Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - OCT 27, 2016
Pours a dark brown with a pumpkin spice aroma. Taste is spiced pumpkin upfront leading to a chocolate flavor at the swallow. A vegetable beer aftertaste. A nice complex beer. BillKismet (4165) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 23, 2016
Deep mahogany body with a nice burnt beige cream layered of head. Thick cinnamon nose with some allspice and nutmeg wound in. Again, cinnamon dominates the flavor, and is joined by nutmeg and allspice, all massaged across smooth, black malts. Overall, a bit too heavy-handed on the spicing. blipp (9929) - La Mesa, California, USA - JAN 29, 2016
Draft. Pours near black with a beige head. Sweet malts and mild roasted malts, some pumpkin spices, and lighter bitterness. Balanced and quite drinkable.

Pours murky brown with a light beige head. Aroma is cinnamon, nutmeg. Afraid this could be another pumpkin spice covering a mediocre base beer. Yeah, kind of. Can’t detect any flaws, but the base caramel malt is overpowered by cinnamon, nutmeg spice. Chalumeaux (1850) - Middleton, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 27, 2015
Poured from tap at Aces and Ales Vegas murky brown with an off white head. Aromas of spice and roasted malt. Taste is chocolate malt pumpkin and spices. Decent. BeerandBlues2 (14027) - Escondido, California, USA - OCT 23, 2015
Tap at Public House - Temecula. Pours black with a medium, frothy beige head, short retention with good lacing. Aroma is nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla, and toast malt. Flavor is toast and chocolate malt, light pumpkin pie spices and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation. kathouse (1942) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - OCT 18, 2015
Deep brown in color with a rich head. Toasted malts and spice are a mild but pleasant combination. Not overpowering. Good balance. A respectable fall beer. Beerman6686 (6611) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 31, 2015
This poured a darker brown with a beige head. Aroma was of roasted malt, like Belgian yeast, and pumpkin flesh. Flavor was more fleshy than spicey, mainly a belgianesque Porter though.
