A lighter style of beer with a tremendous dose of flavor. Kirschen is a Berliner Weiss, or sour wheat ale, that weve brewed with California Bing Cherries. Light pink hues pervade in this traditional hazy wheat beer, and aromas of sharp lactic sourness pair wonderfully with sweet, tart cherries, enticing you to take a sip. Sour and fruity, Kirschen unfolds the flavors of a rich cherry pie in a light, sessionable, summertime classic.

Sample at the taproom. Pours a hazy pinkish-orange color with a thin fizzy pinkish-white head that burns away quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing. Aroma of tart fruit, wheat and yeast. Light-bodied with flavors of citrus, cherry and herbal wheat. The finish is mildly tart with a fruit and yeast aftertaste. Decent overall.

Light cherry and acetic aroma. Pours reddish amber with no head. The taste lightly sour and sweet like sparkling cherries. The body is light to medium with a creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Overall the beer is pretty good very light in body and flavor not overpowering on any level; very sessionable. Only mildly sour amd thankfully not too sweet.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy pink amber with a pink tinged head. Aroma hints of sour and cherry. Med minus body. Flavor is light sour and cherry. Gets a bit more sour in the finish. Takes awhile to get there. Worth the effort.

Solid Berliner Weisse. The fruit flavor is subtle, but tasty. Refreshing, if a bit flat.

Great job on making a Berliner Weise. Its the closest thing to being in Germany on a hot summer day.

From 1 liter growler that dad got for me. Pours a very cool pink color with a giant white bubbly head. Aroma is faint lactic sour and fruit. Taste is mildly tart like a lemonade with a hint of cherries and a wheat finish. Body is very active with bubbles dancing around my tongue. This beer is great and very refreshing on this hot day and much needed during my long strenuous move to Lake Arrowhead.
