Pours a nice deep chestnut brown with a small off white head which fades to some lacing. Aroma is of toasted sweet malts, caramel, molasses, cinnamon, some pine, and some fruits. Taste is similar with sweet caramel malts, molasses, maple syrup, cinnamon, spruce, and some ripe fruits. Has a medium-full body with a slightly syrupy, but still slightly creamy mouthfeel, and a sweet, ever so slightly bitter finish. Overall, a pretty nice winter warmer. ryanfolty (2584) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - DEC 21, 2012
December 21, 2012 bottle from Joe. Cloudy brown pour with nice head and lacing. Malt, grain, spice, cinnamon and caramel in aroma. Taste was strong on the cinnamon with some caramel and wood. Finished nutty and somewhat dry bitter. Thanks Joe! thome50 (1295) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - DEC 20, 2012
Bottle from Hollingshead. Pours a mild amber with slight white head. Aroma is again minimal with some malt, cinnamon, coriander, sweetness. Taste is very muted in terms of cinnamon and other spices. Has a very thin mouth feel which is not great for this style in my opinion. Overall, nothing to write home about at Christmas. Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - DEC 14, 2012
Pours a deep amber color with aroma of spice and syrup. Taste is a bit cinnamon spice with a slight bitter aftertaste. A lingering spruce and nutmeg on the palate. Overall a decent seasonal that warms your chest. mjg74 (3134) - La Mesa, California, USA - DEC 10, 2012
Bomber from K&B. Medium amber in color on the pour. Nose is lightly spiced with a bit of an herbal quality to it. Moderately sweet up front with a dash of cinnamon. Decent malt character with a subtle hint of roast.

On Tap at the brewery, pours amber in color with about an inch head. On the nose it has some pine notes with honey and some spice. It tastes of sweet malt with honey and spice and finishes clean. It stays on the palate but overall not too bad. I prefer hullabaloo more but this isn't bad for a winter beer.

This screams winter warmer. Good strong base beer with pine notes followed by fruit and sweetness. A little spice for good measure. A solid winter ale. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 8, 2011
2011 version on tap at the brewery. Pours with a hazed amber body with a minimal off-white head. Aromas are of dark fruits, caramel, spices, a bit vinous, bready, and maybe a small hint of butterscotch (diacetyl like). Flavors are fruity (esters), caramel, alcohol, malty, medium spice and dark fruits. Medium carbonation with a slightly fuller body. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - DEC 1, 2011
On tap at brewery. Nice chestnut brown with a fizzy off white head. Spruce and molasses up front in the aroma. Tastes of cinnamon, spruce, and molasses with a bready roasted barley backbone. DuffManSW (436) - Riverside, California, USA - JUN 5, 2010
