Bob Grider poured me his royale (royale).
It runs in our blood,
That kind of stout that I just love
It gives a different kind of buzz.
Let me be your ruler (ruler),
You can call me King P.
And barrel I’ll roll, I’ll roll, I’ll roll, I’ll roll.
Let me sip that fantasy. kermis (14488) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - FEB 22, 2014
Bottle shared thanks to trade with Alen. Pours near black with a ring beige head. Aroma of wood, bourbon but softened by the additional brandy barrel aging, milk chocolate, caramel and malt. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Fudge and molasses coming out in the palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation. This is absolutley amazing stuff. reinmogard (4) - Moscow, Idaho, USA - SEP 6, 2017 does not count
Everything you would expect from Pugachev's Cobra with the added brilliance of additional aging in brandy barrels. Strong, yet smooth. bytemesis (8996) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JUL 13, 2014
Bottle with mega-thanks to Alen! Shared in the early stages of the Homer "welcome to California tasting. Pours opaque black with a tiny tan head. Aroma has lots of bourbon, brandy I guess as well. chocolate, molasses, roasty malts, dark sugars. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, strong bourbon, lots of vanilla here as well. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel. This is a darn nice beer, but it is not surprising given how good Cobra is. LtDan (1806) - Los Angeles County, California, USA - JUL 27, 2014
Appearance: Pours dark brown with no head no swirls no lace.

Aroma: Bourbon, grahm cracker, vanilla.
Taste: Bourbon, roast, milk chocolate, booze for days. Oak.
Mouthfeel: Super warm. Full bodied, modest carbonation.
Overall: I like this considerable more than the already delicious Pugachev’s Cobra. Even more complex than how I can describe it in words, I’d rather drink this than any BCS any day. Let’s hope H24 ups the yield on this beer.
Bottle... This beer lifts!… Pours dark brown and sits black in my glass with no head. Aroma is a luxuriant swirl of vanilla, toasted coconut, brownies and maple syrup. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and faint carbonation. The flavor features rich, decadent, bittersweet mocha, vanilla and a boozy blend of bourbon and brandy. Molasses, liquor warmth and fudge stick around a good while after each sip. A world-class treatment of a world class imperial stout. These folks have proven time and again that they know what the heck they’re doing. The bottle was provided by newcigarz. Thanks so much, Tony! Plovmand (8595) - Grindsted, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2015

Some roasted and tobacco pouch notes. The flavor is very amazed by the barrels. Great vanilla and ripe fruity notes. Huge roasted malts and some bitter hoppy notes. A true sipper.
