Nice lighter ale. Fairly hoppy. Almost an IPA light. Surprisingly carbonated. Not bad at all. Getbetter (1033) - East Palo Alto, California, USA - FEB 25, 2012
From a tap, great flitral aroma, golden pale in appearance, minimum white head, medium hop flavor, one of the better wheat styles I have had..great for a hot day. iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - MAY 11, 2012
A couple four packs that were picked up from the brewery after Coachella, weekend two. Slightly hazy yellow gold with a one finger off-white head, pretty good retention. Definitely has some wit-like yeast esters, along with plenty of crisp wheat notes.I’d also like to add some pear and light tropical fruit (the description does not lie). I’ve had a Bravo hopped Russian River beer many years ago (like 4-5), but never Calypso. Flavor continues with the wheat and pear dominating, some wit esters following, and some added grain and light toasted biscuit malt (not to be confused with brown ale toastiness). Dry crisp wheat finish, bitterness at a 2 or so. Light smooth carbonation with a light to medium body. A fantastic seasonal (quite sessionable) that goes down great as well as breaking the mold a bit. Dunno why this had to be in four packs as opposed to six, and for about the same price as Orange Wheat, IIRC. One of the most underrated breweries out there. superspak (5880) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - MAY 22, 2014
Got in a trade with swingracex. 22 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but assumed 2014 bottling. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass; with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, light pepper, light coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hops, fruity/earthy yeast, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, light pepper, light coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light floral/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, wheat, bread, light coriander, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, hops, and pale malt flavors; with great robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly bready/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice pale wheat ale. All around good balance, complexity, and robustness of hops, fruity/earthy yeast, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering. m4rest88 (390) - Beverly Hills, California, USA - MAY 14, 2012

Aroma: Orange, spicy belgian yeast, herbal hop.
Taste: Spicy hops, dry malt spicy belgian yeast. Finishes clean yeasty and bitter.
Mouthfeel: On the thin side, lively carbonation.
Overall: Fresh, easy to drink, refreshing, and with tons of character for the low abv.
Tap at Jernigan’s. Read up on it before ordering and dug the blending of the two yeasts idea I’ve seen around a bit. Gives a nice odd balance that fits rather well together...sweetness and a dryness. Nice hop palate and extremely drinkable qualities make this something I’d love to get in a 6er for the summer! GMCC2181 (1613) - Newark, Delaware, USA - MAR 2, 2012
Bottle from HH22. Hazy orange pour, decent little head. Nice nose on this... Hoppy, wheat notes with some hay-fresh grass. Taste is fresh cut grass, hay, wheat, little lemon zest, with a nice hop bite. Different and good. Medium body, light and refreshing. Quite drinkable: Overall: Good spring beer thanks tim! From bottle at provisions. Aroma is grassy hops. Taste is pretty nice wheat with a nice hop finish and good yeast blend. marcus (10571) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 8, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours cloudy amber with a decent beige head and a floral citrus aroma. There is a medium-bodied caramel malt flavor with some spice and a strange wheat finish. Quite unusual.
