COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Spring! A time of renewal. Renew your taste buds with our “California style” Spring Beer, a unique fusion of a hoppy wheat beer brewed with a blended fermentation of Belgian and American yeast. Pours a hazy gold with a thick, white head. Floral hop aromas abound, complemented by the taste of tangy wheat and spicy Belgian yeast notes with a bitter, slightly sweet, bready finish. Additional Information: For our first Seasonal 4-pack, we decided to create something one of a kind. This beer was fermented in two separate batches, one using a traditional American Ale yeast and the other using a Belgian Wit yeast. The two finished beers were then blended to create an extra layer of complexity and flavor. We also used two new hop varieties: Bravo & Calypso. These hops add a wonderful tropical fruit and pear character to our CSB.

Bottle from South Bay Liquor: Poured a golden blonde with a slight haze to it while a delicate layer of foam cap developed but quickly retreated. Aroma is mild with scents of hops and green citrus tress that have yet to produce fruit. The flavor is somewhat bland with light notes of butter and toffee. Also has a finish of bitter hops that hint towards a taste of citrus. Decent spring wheat but I am glad I caught this 4-pack on sale $6.99 instead of the original $8.99 price.

12 oz bottle. Pours a lite lightly hazy gold orange with a thin rapidly dissipating white head settles to a thin white film. No lacing. Aroma is of orange peel, grapefruit, and a slight hint of belgian funk. Well carbonated and crisp with a thin effervescent mouthfeel. Taste is slightly sweet and starts with a crisp lightly hopped citrus taste that is not overly bitter and is refreshing. The sweetness rapidly gives way to a finish that has a mild hop bitterness and does not linger long on the palate. Enough bitterness to cleanse the palate, but not enough to ruin it. A vey clean sessionable beer. Good but not great, but I wouldn’t mind it’s refreshing drinkability on a warm spring day. A very unique beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The pour is a cloudy golden orange color with a solid white head. A nice hoppiness to it, highly floral, with a light spiciness. Good wheat and bread notes, fairly crisp on the nose. Just a hint of grass. The flavor has a nice touch of citrus along with the more floral and spicy notes. Sweet bread and wheat flavors and a touch of yeast.

Crisp cereal malt and grassy hop aromas come out of the bottle. Once in the glass there a rustic, musty, outdoor, almost vineous aroma very reminiscent of a Saison. Looks nice with a hazy tangerine body topped by a white head. There more of the mustiness and a dryness with definite Belgian yeast tones. I would guess that there’s Brett in here, but the doesn’t mention this. Some black pepper spice and a light lemon and citrus flavor and sweetness. Finishes bone dry with a lingering spicy, musty flavor. A very delicious and unique spring beer.

Thanks Tim for the 4-pack. Pours pale gold with a thin white head, spotty pacing. Aroma is big floral honey, light eaters and crisp citrus. Flavor is much the same, heavy citrus with a nice crisp finish that leans dry with nice lime undertones. A great session beer!

On tap at the source. Pours with a lasting white head over a hazed golden hued body. Aromas are bready, grainy, and floral. Mild esters, lots of wheat, light fruity hop notes and some peppery phenols. Flavors are medium phenol, lots of bready and grainy notes. Tons of wheat character. Light floral hop. Lively bubbles, finished dry. Nice and easy to drink.

Bottle from Bine and Vine. Pours hazy light golden amber with a slight frothy white head. Aroma is light fruit with a citrus background. Approaching med body. Flavor is wheaty, with some mixed light fruits including citrus. There’s a little spice, and there’s a mild earthiness. Nice, but hard to pin down on style. Seems like there’s too much here to just label it "wheat". For me it finishes a little dusty and dry.
