>> Low haze straw golden, okay foam. Nose is muted, grass, ginger, flashes of yeast and candied lemon. Taste is malty, a tad bland, biscuit, bread, ginger bite.
Tap at Jernigan’s. Read up on it before ordering and dug the blending of the two yeasts idea I’ve seen around a bit. Gives a nice odd balance that fits rather well together...sweetness and a dryness. Nice hop palate and extremely drinkable qualities make this something I’d love to get in a 6er for the summer! superspak (5877) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - MAY 22, 2014
Got in a trade with swingracex. 22 ounce bottle into pint glass; no bottle dating, but assumed 2014 bottling. Pours hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass; with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, light pepper, light coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hops, fruity/earthy yeast, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, light pepper, light coriander, wheat, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light floral/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, orange peel, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, wheat, bread, light coriander, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity and balance of fruity/earthy yeast, hops, and pale malt flavors; with great robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, crisp, and lightly bready/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice pale wheat ale. All around good balance, complexity, and robustness of hops, fruity/earthy yeast, and pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Hazy orange with a chunky one-finger head and decent lace. Aromas of banana, orange, mint and tea. Flavors are similar, highlighted by orange peel with a touch of yeast. Light body, effervescent, and a dry finish. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAY 2, 2014
Nice lighter ale. Fairly hoppy. Almost an IPA light. Surprisingly carbonated. Not bad at all. BlackHaddock (7570) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 27, 2014
13th March 2014: in my second flight at the Back Bay Bar (inside Wholefoods, Newport Beach). Slight mistiness to the old gold colour with a white head.Refreshing and interesting. Vanilla and honey melon came to mind as I sniffed and sipped the brew. I’m not a huge fan of wheat beers, but this was fine and sat apart from the other beers I tried during a pretty boozy day (the others being mostly high alcohol or hop laden). Hazy golden colored, moderate head, some lace/retention. Aroma is wheat dominated with notes of clove, lightly floral, light bread. Lighter bodied, wheat flavor dominates with a rough feel. htnicholas (50) - California, USA - AUG 2, 2013
12 oz bottle. Pours a lite lightly hazy gold orange with a thin rapidly dissipating white head settles to a thin white film. No lacing. Aroma is of orange peel, grapefruit, and a slight hint of belgian funk. Well carbonated and crisp with a thin effervescent mouthfeel. Taste is slightly sweet and starts with a crisp lightly hopped citrus taste that is not overly bitter and is refreshing. The sweetness rapidly gives way to a finish that has a mild hop bitterness and does not linger long on the palate. Enough bitterness to cleanse the palate, but not enough to ruin it. A vey clean sessionable beer. Good but not great, but I wouldn’t mind it’s refreshing drinkability on a warm spring day. A very unique beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
