Colour: brilliant gold
Aroma: a zesty pineapple and banana fruitiness, underlain by a biscuity maltiness.
Palate: tropical fruit (ripe banana) with an interplay between the biscuity malt and the fruitiness — superbly refreshing, fruity and summery.
Finish: dry and bittersweet. Not a big bitter beer.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2016 A clear gold colour with a sudsy small white head. Biscuit malt and lemon citrus and floral hop aroma. Sweet biscuit malt and lemon citrus flavours. Crisp dry astringent bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Cask at The Reginald Mitchell, Hanley (JDW) A clear golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of biscuity malts, lemon, slight lime and subtle floral hops. Taste of biscuity malts, lemon, some lime, slight orange and subtle floral hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A dryish, subtley tart, floral hop bitterness in the finish. Quite citrusy, some sweetness from the malts bit overall just a very average golden ale.

Pint at King Charles I. A: Golden, slightly hazy, small thick head which gave way to some lacing. S: Citra hop, lime. T: Grapefruit, lime, wheat, cooking apples. M: Smooth, not much carbonation, slipped down quite well. O: A very well made Golden Ale, subtle, good character and didn’t get undrinkably bitter after a couple of pints.

[email protected] bellwether, wednesbury. Golden beer with small head and good lacing. Aroma of cereal grain and malts. Taste is dry biscuit, bitter resin and some fruit. Not great.

tombyars (1821) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - SEP 27, 2016
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) on the 24th September 2016. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale straw in colour with a thin white head. Floral dry hops present in the light hoppy aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and poor lacing. Pale malt gives a slight biscuit base with weak lemon coming through. Hop increases in the bitter aftertaste with resins imparting an astringency. Finish is light but hoppy with dry oak cask and lemon tart notes evident on the palate. A poor summer session Golden Ale, lacking in complexity - and banana’s!

Cask @ White House, Luton
Kolor ciemnozłoty, czysty jak łza. Piana biała, umiarkowana, drobnooczkowa, lacing odpowiedni w kierunku dobry. W aromacie i smaku słodowe z minimalnym muśnięciem chmielu.

The_Osprey (10000) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 2, 2016
Cask HP at Hamilton Hall London as ’Hanlons Yellow Hammer’. Golden yellow, still, pretty clear, small white head. Aroma is mostly battenberg cake, sugary malt, sweet fruited breads. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is nice and balanced with musty floral hops, touches of lemon cake, malted milk biscuits and wafer, with a resinous finish. Certainly something I could drink all night.
