Medium white head. Hazy reddish body. Floral resiny tropical fruit aroma with alcohol and caramel notes. Dry-sweet spicy resiny pineapple taste with minty notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry floral tropical fruit aftertaste with strawberry dandelion notes. Nice, fairly aromatic. (0.33l bottle at the brewpub. Waiter presented it as "Det Grønne Gull", a triple IPA at 6.5%. Assume it really was Lemkuhls Last.)

330 ml bottle, courtesy of ClubGonzo. A hazy orange body with a big, white foamy (gusher) head that disappears surprisingly fast. Nice fruity aroma with apricot, peaches and hint of caramel. Flavor is citric fruity on a nice malt and caramel base with balanced bitterness, some spices in the aftertaste. A promising IPA in the lower end of the ABV scale, but sad to say that something made this not survive the storage very well. The gushing and the aggressive carbonation is on the negative side.

Bottle, thx to Hanne and clubgonzo. A gusher, producing an unclear, golden to amber body and a dense, off-white head. Oranges, pinecones and fluor on the nose. Some alcohol notes, as well as sugary maltyness. Lots of carbonation, lightly warming and semi-sweet on the palate. Pine cones, peaches and orange peel flavor with bitterness and a faint note of yeast. A decent one, but a bit going in all directions. 111123

0.33l bottle courtesy of and served @ and by Hanne På Høyden, Bergen. Pours a deep as hell cloudy orange body packed with enormous white floaters and a nice and really everlasting off-white/yellow-cut head. Aroma is nice and fruity with pine and grapefruit, also notes of caramel. Average carbonated and has a oily mouthfeeling. Hopy, and sweet flavors. Sweet strawberries and apricot? Has a really nice bitterness that I can only describe as "homemade bitterness" that presents itself in the aftertaste. It’s finished off slightly dry and sweet.

Bottle @ Hanne På Høyden, courtesy of Hanne herself! :-) Hanne på Høyden is a great little restaurant in Bergen who just recently started making their own house beers. This IPA called "Lemkuhls Last" ("Lemkuhl’s Cargo", after an iconic Bergen old tall ship still in use today), an original name with a local (Bergen) fragrance to it. Local is also a key concept in Hanne’s vision: locally produced food and raw materials as much as possible, with local touches and ingredients. And now: the beer. :-) Pours a hazy near-brown orange body with a medium white head. Nose is very fruity, with apricot, honey melon, peaches and hints of grass. Taste goes more in the direction of spruce, grass and resin, with a decent malt sweetness in the back and some earthy tones. Well rounded with a bitter grassy finish, maintaining a good balance throughout the entire palate. A well-done debut from Hanne! :-)
