COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Beer traditionally is perishable fresh produce.

At Hanöversch we respect this, hence all vitamins remain in this special pilsener brew. The expiration date of three weeks gives consideration to the freshness of this produce. Hanöversch is designated for short-term consumption and needs to be stored at 4-6 °C.

We exclusively use controlled, ecological raw materials and are a contractual partner of the Bioland organisation. Not only these specially selected raw materials, but also the highly skilled brewery craftsmannship according to the German purity law, destinguish our beer and create its valued, wholehearted flavour.

Hanöversch is an "untergärig", unfiltered pilsener brew with 11,5% original wort and about 4,8% Vol. alc.. It is brewed exclusively at the Brauhaus in Hannover.

Tap @ Brauhaus Ernst August, Hannover. Unclear yellow with a lasting white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 110417

0.4 L from tap at Brauhaus Ernst August. Light in the flavour, but refreshing and easy drinkable.

Draught at the brewpub. Grainy, bready aftertaste, grassy, herbal, slightly lemony hops. A bit too little hop forward, a bit too astringent but definitely alright.

Aroma: some herbal notes and rather malty. Appearance: hazy straw color and white head. Taste: medium/low herbal bitterness, herbs, weak flower notes, dry. Palate: low body and medium carbonation. Overall: Ok, decent pils, but nothing more.

1l bottle. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts malty, more and more dry-moldy, spicy. Not much hoppy notes. Finish boring malty. Light hints of caramel. Nothing special.

*Old rating, best before 10. Aug. 2011. 1l-bottle from Denn’s Biomarkt in Hannover. Mild-weiches Pils, nicht zu tief, sehr erfrischend, weich, nett.

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2014 1l growler from the brewpub. From a gift.28-08-2014.
In short: malty pilsner.
Pours hazy dark gold with almost no head. Short head retention, no lacing. Unfortunatelly the growler seemed to lost almost all carbonation, ending a flat beer. Despite that, malt character noticed, enjoyable. Willing to try a really fresh one.

(on tap) Pale yellow, cloudy, with a nice white head that disappears quickly. Very yeasty aroma, slightly buttery, some grassy hops and notes of white toast. I would prefer more bitterness. Lightly sweet as well. Medium body, medium to soft carbonation. Hoppy aftertaste on the palate. Not very memorable, but quaffable.
