The usual story. After a day of work and talking business to a number of people with zumtimes eutregeus oksents a visit to this pub for some beers and a potje of ostrich or antelope the first beer was always going to be ok regardless. This is at least a fresh betch, er batch, as it presented well in the glass. Clearly light in colour with a clean head, there is certainly a whiff of the veldt in here. Little hop and a slight degree of harshness on the back palate but nevertheless it refreshed from the beginning. A few beers later it lost its gloss at which point it was time to get onto the lovely 2002 cab sav.
Keg at Joe’s Beerhouse, Windhoek. It pours clear golden with a decent white head. Decent retention. The aroma is fresh, clean, fairly restrained, bit of white bread and toasty grain. The taste is crisp, clean, slightly creamy, soda water, straw, grass and a hint of spice. Finish is kind of dry. Light - medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth - feel. Clean it is, but lacks any sort of depth. No faults, just not a whole lot it. Sort of the lager version of Tesco value bitter. Palate cleanser. 500ml on tap: Pours a crystal clear golden with good white head that dissipates slowly. Lacing. Aroma of hay and cereal. Medium bitterness, crisp and clean. Very welcome due to the heat today in Windhoek. Medium carbonation, light bodied. Very refreshing. Overall a very nice beer. Holmen2 (4043) - NORWAY - DEC 1, 2015
Backlog. From tap at Swakopmund Brauhaus, Namibia, 07.04.12 - after crossing Africa from East to West 4.421 km by public transport. Clear golden. Good, but short-lasting, head. Little aroma, some bitterness, neutral taste. Could have been any Euro-lager. ElManana (2079) - Scheldewindeke, BELGIUM - AUG 17, 2015
On tap at Joe’s Beerhouse while on holiday in Namibia. Ice cold, so not much taste noticeable, even the glass was given frozen? Refreshing, not bitter. Wim (4160) - Weelde, BELGIUM - AUG 21, 2014

, Namibia. Golden beer with a strongish head. The aroma is lightly dry, and the flavour is bitter and plainly dry with a malty and yeasty feel. Overall a fairly average lager.
On tap at Joe’s among other places in Namibia. A bursting golden lager with massive spicy head. Very clean, with German purity laws well adhered to. A bit of fruit taste, quite yummy, especially alongside some Kudu. Cu6a (14) - NAMIBIA - MAR 29, 2008
This is the only beer that tops tafel lager, only reason being that it is availible on tap. You cant beat this beer.
