Julen 2011. Dark amber body with a thin beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, malt and cinnamon. Sweet taste. Not bad.

Tjomleif (284) - NORWAY - DEC 26, 2017
Bottle, 6.5%. Clear dark brown colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour is roasted and nice enough. Not so clean. A bit of rough barley bitterness in the finish. Not bad, though.

ABS (1135) - Stokke, NORWAY - DEC 17, 2017
Danish pint at blind tasting. Clear, dark, copper. Burnt malt and berries. Esters, herbs, caramel. Sweet, bitter ending. High carbonation. Medium body. Decent.

Okt17 oppsaml. Brun med rødskjær. Hvitt lavt skum. Lukter karamell. Smaker søtlig emment av brent malt. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Klart, mørkt nøttebrunt med fint skum som forsvinner fort. Mørkt brød, karamell og nøtter i duften. Karamell og havrekjeks i smaken. behagelig juleøl.

[email protected] (from Vinmonopolet, Kirkenes). Deep amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel, liquorice, toffee, wood and some mild bready notes. Flavour is caramel, some crisp floral and bready notes as well as mild herbal and spiced things. Wellbalanced and pleasant.

TBone (18565) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 20, 2015
Bottled 330ml (AIH53, from Vm Kirkenes)
Dark ruby, small beige head. Caramel, malts, some harsh notes. Medium-bodied. Caramel, some alcohol, light grassy notes, low bitterness. Sweet Scandinavian Xmas beer. Similar to "Hansa Juleøl 6.5%".

ston3s42 (234) - - NOV 17, 2015
Very dark brown with a hint of purple, and bit of head. Tastes of sweet malt, caramel, banana, some hops and peppers. Medium-light body, very fine carbonation and a aftertaste of sweetness and dried banana. A good Christmas beer, but nothing special compared to the 4.7% version

bbertels (507) - NORWAY - DEC 30, 2014
Bottle. The head is quite weak. Unsurprisingly, the taste is dominated by generic caramel. Hops are absent and so is much else. Drinkable, good with fatty foods and may have its moments but utterly uninteresting as a brew.

visionthing (5603) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - DEC 4, 2014
33cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Storo. Pours clear brown with a reddish hue an a tan head. Malty aroma with dried fruits, caramel and spices. Fairly sweet with malty and mildly spicy flavours and a rather light bitterness. Some warming alcohol too. Quite okay, but a bit too much on the sweet side for my taste, but quite well balanced. Fair enough.

Oysteib (112) - NORWAY - NOV 18, 2014
From bottle. Brown colour. Moderate head. Very dry, dare I say sour? Hardly any sweetness. Vague hints of fruit. The 4,7 version is much better.
