A german dortmunder, 6 pints for $6.99??? The expiration date of 10/09/09 makes me think its fresh. I don’t know why actually, because that expiration date is so absurdly far off that its meaningless who knows when its actually bottled. It does taste fresh though, and it has that mineraly finish that a dortmunder should. Finishes smooth, really not bad. I think some of your beer snobs protest too much. Also has a nice little everlasting head. I probably wouldn’t buy it again, but its ok.

Piepenhenrich (1171) - Steinbach, GERMANY - SEP 9, 2017
Has not the best reputation (at least where I come from) to be cheap and thus good to get drunk (an nothing else). Makes, however surprisingly, for a reasonable drink at least.

goed te drinken dortmunder, mooi moutig met ook ruimte voor de hop met wat citrus en gras.

Bottle 500 ml. Clear golden color, average white foam. Malty flavor, a bit grassy hops.

Zlotta (3728) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - JAN 30, 2017
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from local ’real’, best before September 2017. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy and a little grainy aroma of straw, grains and slightest hints of citrus. Sweetish, quite grainy, musty and a little grassy taste of grains, straw, some cardboard and iron, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little grassy and quite metallic finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent aroma, taste is a bit worse. Still drinkable, but not very pleasant.

Redelijk geurloos. De kleur is mooi blond, met een mooie schuimkraag. De smaak is niet slecht maar er zit een raar nasmaakje aan. Gedronken in Rillix in Puerto Plata

2.3
Icedwarf (1758) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - MAY 27, 2016
Fles 50cl. Helder lichtgeel bier met schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig met iets van gras en graan. Licht zoet en een ietwat bittere Helles, maar helaas met iets te weinig smaak.

Erzengel (9335) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - MAR 6, 2016
*Old rating, best before 30.11.06. Smooth malty and slightly grainy bitterness. Fresh, mild with a sweetish grainy body.

Easy drinking and rides the style good enough. Crisp finish. Bottle in Frankfurt.

I mine unge dage drak vi denne øl. Den var billig. For et stykke tid siden ville jeg lige afprøve om jeg blot var fordomsfuld i mine unge dage. Det var jeg ikke. Det er stadigvæk det bedste ved øllen. Den er billig.

Bottle in Frankfurt. Golden body with medium head. Nose is skunky and malty. Taste is grass, malts, caramel and butter. Nce texture. Some citrus in the finish. Decent.
