Tasted on 3/27/11 from a 330mL bottle at Lush West Town. Pours cloudy garnet with no head whatsoever. The nose is super funky with burnt rubber, vanilla oak, a ton of citrus sour notes, and dark berry fruits. The flavor is sour and funky with burnt rubber, lemon, wheat, vanilla oak, and dark berries. The body is medium with no carbonation and a long funky, lemon, and dark berry finish, and also very tannic.

Bottle. Slightly dim reddish orange body almost without any head. Nice funky aroma with acidic blackberries. Flavor is funky, barnyard, acidic and fruity blackberries. A bit unusually, quite fruity and very nice.

Bottle. Reddish beer with no head. Dusty, earthy aroma with fruit and light tartness. Dust and dark fruit flavor with tartness/sourness and earthiness. Medium bodied. Low carbonation. Earth and dark fruits linger with dust and tart/sour notes.

(375ml bottle) Pours ruby red with no head. Beautiful color. Aroma of vinegar, fruit and funk. Taste is vinegar and some ripe (but not very sweet) fruit. Thin bodied with dry finish. The flavor is not as sour as the nose implies. Nice fruit to pair with the sour.

dimenhetfield (2486) - , Florida, USA - MAR 6, 2011
bottle shared with dosbeerigos. Color is pinkish/purple with no head to speak of. The aroma was like smelling a dirty diaper, needless to say, god awful. Flavor was tart and sour but the aroma just could let me enjoy it. Somewhat of a mess

Anker (723) - Hillerd, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2011
Bottle traded by MaxxDaddy, thanks its very appreciated! Shared with Andreasen11. Pours a murky deep red with no head. Lovely sour aromas of ripe black currents, dry grape, leather, dirt and oak. Much better than expected and very familiar to the Hanssens Oude Kriek. The ripe black currants it very well balanced in the flavour, not as up front or sweet as in other black currant lambics I have tasted. At the same time it is still extremely sour and with the typical Hanssens dusty, woody signature just as expected. I love this stuff!

Pours like red wine. Smells excellent. Sour as sour can be on the aroma. Ssour fruity flavour. Tastes great not as sour as is smells bit it is fantstic. Bold sour and balanced. You tqstes all the characters, yeast, fruit, malt, this is a fantastic brew.

Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 17, 2011
Bottle, from a kind trader whose name escapes me. Pours solid mauve/purple, no head, no lacing. Almost completely flat. Nose is berries, massive tart/sour/acid component, deeper and richer than the Kriek, but still not my favorite Hanssens nose, that belongs to the Oudbetje. Flavours are soft, with cassis notes, a bit odd and sweaty, very dirty in the finish, which I like. Rather vinous and pretty cool.
