2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottled, from Holiday Wine Cellars in Escondido. Not sure what vintage, pretty recent I assume. Cork lifts with no sign of carbonation and the beer pours dead flat. Color is a slightly cloudy dark gold. Aroma of wheat toast, orange rind, bitter grapefruit and strawberry. Flavor is bitter citrus fruits, less on the strawberry, with a pleasant funky cheese finish and astringent acidity. Overall not balanced; a hint of staleness on the back end. Maybe I got a bum bottle...I don’t know. Still somewhat enjoyable; Ive definitely had better.
Refrigerated 37.5 green bottle corked and capped poured into a glass. Aroma is strawberry, medium body, low carbonation, and very little lacing. Taste is tart strawberry. Needs carbonation. Calisky (2933) - ALSACE, FRANCE - JUL 4, 2017
375ml bottle @Cimmeria, Oviedo. 08-06-2017.zalfv (3) - - JUN 25, 2017 does not count
Funky, extremely sour one, some rotten nose, little strawberries, barnyard, some harsh, rough but mellow at the same time, drinkable and some enjoyable. Too flat beer, maybe some more carbonaic bite would make it easier. Peculiar but enjoyable anyway,
Pours a deep yellow-orange
Aroma of orange, light vinegar
Medium bodied, very little sweetness, underripe strawberry/wild strawberry finish
Overall somewhat funky, no head, flat/sour beer definitely better with a sweet cheese for pairing than enjoyed by itself.

375 ml bottle. Pours a dusty orange amber with little head. Aromas of woolly funk, barnyard and dried fruit. Flavors follow same with dried red berries and wheat. Strawberries are present though subtle and dry. Acidity is noticeable but relatively mellow for a lambic. Very nice

Pours cloudy yellow-orange, with no head. Aroma is peach and nectarine with some wood and urine. Extremely sour/acidic, discernable taste is grapefruit and and light funk. The strawberries can just be recognised but maybe only because I knew they had to be there? The acid almost burns my throath and it is way too much for me, at this stage. Light body, no fizz. I may have to get used to this level of acidity. fombe89 (3427) - Asturias, SPAIN - JUN 10, 2017
