This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

Bottle (375ml). My 1100th rating - still two months to my one-year RateBeer anniversary! Poured a beautiful apricot-ruby with virtually no head. Aroma - oh my God that’s wonderful - sour citrus, yeast, wet wool, a hint of burnt rubber, wet aged cedar firewood, *maybe* a hint of cherry - it’s certainly sour. Taste - sour lemon, sour cherry, yeast, white wine vinegar - this is flat yet still somewhat lively, sticky, heavily acidic - almost pleasant and juicy compared to some of the extreme lambics I’ve tried (hello Girardin Black Label) but very drinkable, fruity without being sweet - it seems sort of sweet in the aftertaste, but it’s all about the juicy funk and sourness when you’re drinking it. Pleasant.

Pours hazy orange with white head. Aromas are sweet and sour. Taste is sour, citrus, cherry. Very sour and winy . Not my thing!

The aroma is dry cherry stone and a touch of vinegar. More deeply, it gives some acetone and something vaguely savoury, or at least main coursey. Bright red in th glass, with a fizzy head. Super tart in the mouth. The taste is full of sharp apricot and some cherry, alas with a hint of acetone occasionally. Anna's glass has way more apricot and was thinner in the mouth but with everything more distinct. The final (pinker) pour was more balsamic but also more plummy. Well, that's interesting - each glass and pour had a different character.

750ml bottle from taptap. Pours pinkish, small white ring head. Aroma is acid, vinegary, sour cherry. Taste is sour, like really sour. Acid, cherry, and lots of vinegar. Massive vinegar in aftertaste. Medium bodied, low carbo. Dry mouthfeel. Typical Hanssens, so acid and vinegary and still balanced and makes me smile. Well done real old school kriek without any sweetness.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Dan. Hazy deep red beer, no head. Super tart cherry and a big dose of lemon acid. Some lemon sherbet maybe, hard to tell with the acidic assault on the palate. Dry finish. Very acid and quite an effort to drink. Not big and not clever!

Flaska från 2014, drygt tre år gammal. Lätt smutsig röd vätska med liten vit krona. Riktigt bärigt i både doft och smak med massor av körsbär, lingon, hallon, vinbär och körsbärskärnor. Även mörk balsamvinäger, halm, stall och citronjuice. Fin och bra syrlighet som vägs upp av sötman från bären. Drack till sushi, förvånansvärt bra kombination. Riktigt gott.

14Nov2017 Sour, dark cherries, dark, reddish fruit. Hazy, very dark, reddish brown, hardly any head. Super sour. More red berries, sour, acidic, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Too sour for my taste. Horrible. Bottle shared at Level 42 - thanks to The_Osprey!

Uzupełnienie profilu notatki. Piwo nalewa sie bez piany. Kolor czerwony. Aromat wiśnie pestkowe, taniny z drewna, kwaskowy. Smak dominują kwaskowe nuty, pełnia z lekką słodyczą. Są nuty dzikie, drewna, tanin. Wiśnie są w odczuciu pestkowe, (kwas pruski) ale ja to lubię, Piwo Bardzo Dobre zdecydowanie kwaśne ale przy tym złożone, wielowymiarowe.

Bottle shared at home. Dark red with no head, the head ran away to a less sour place. Battery acid, photo glue, faint hints of cooked sweet dark cherries, almond nutty woody notes. Borderline sour. Medium body and no carbonation. Cherry holocaust. Zure matjes kwadraat. No reason to keep this in high regard.
