COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

Bottle (75cl): going to take me a long while to get used to this style. As a winemaker this has almost everything I try to avoid. I suspect this is what the style should look like so Ive taken it easy in my scoring. Red brown color. Cloudy and no head. There is a light spritz. Aromatics take the cake. Volatile, slightly mould, must, old oak. Maybe a hint of decomposing fruit. Dry, extremely sour and no bitterness. Medium light palate. Long acid finish. Mousey and dirty. Very old world. Technically this is faulty and crap. Ill come back and score again when I have more experience. For the moment it hurts to give this score.

UPDATED: DEC 24, 2016 Bottle shared by Ben thx mate for introducing me to this new brewery. Drank with the boys. A: cherries, woody, other misc red fruits. App: hazy purple no head. T/p: med body with long acidic finish. Moderate carbonation. O: Pleasantly surprise by this, since I was driving I only sample 2 onz or so but could be interesting in sampling this again in bigger volumes.

375ml bottle shared with Ben, Seb and Jo. Aroma: lots of acetic notes, cherries. App: dark red, purple, minimal to no head. Taste and palate: medium body, light sweetness, dry cherry acidity finish. Overall: good stuff. Easy to drink. Not a Kriek fan but this one is quite easy to drink. Great job.

375 ml corked and caged bottle, 2015 vintage. Served in a Prairie Artisan Ales lambic glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy reddish color with not quite an inch light pink head that fizzled away kinda quickly. Not much lacing at all. The brew smells like tart and sweet cherries, oak, and some funkiness. Taste is similar to the aroma, with tart cherry, oak, sweet cherry, funk, vinegar and lemon flavors all noticeable. Its pretty tart, more than I expected since I thought the aroma had a good amount of sweetness. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, its easy to drink and has a low amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, I enjoyed the tart fruity flavors. Definitely worth picking up!

375 ml bottle from Bottles & Bitters at Sloans Lake. Light hazy reddish appearance with minimal head. Aroma of sour cherries, light barnyard funk and a hint of oak. Similar flavor, moderately sweet and moderately sour with a medium body and a lingering finish. Nicely balanced and enjoyable overall.

Hazy red color, no head. Aroma is like bad sour cheap red wine plus some wood, alcohol and champagne. Taste is extremely sour cherry. Creamy texture. Medium body, flat carbonation. //bottle at Craft Room

10+ year old bottle at Delirium Cafe, label falling off and all. Pours a hazy red with thin ring of bubbly pink head. Aroma of funky barnyard awesomeness with a hint of tart cherry behind. Taste is right there with a touch more acidity than funk, fruit is still there in spades, really complex and tasty. Awesome stuff.

Rood bier zonder schuim. Smaak is fris zuur en fruitig met echt krieken smaak, niet chemisch. Ondanks dat dit soort bier niet echt aan mij besteed is, ietwat te zuur, vind ik deze best goed.

2015 375ml corked and caged. Tulip. Red Apron in Merrifield. Murky dark red with bare ecru head. A: acidic, tart citrus and cherries, vinegar. T: very tart and acidic, with lemon, sour cherries, yeast, vinegar. Too tart and acidic to really enjoy any flavor here.

heavy (2808) - Split, CROATIA - AUG 24, 2016
A 0.375 l bottle that poured lightly hazy ruby body with a medium sized pinkish head. Fine sour aroma, apples, vinegar, maybe only a hint of cherries. Flavor was correspondingly sour, similar to oude gueuze, a strong sourness was short living although left a long finish of lambic flavors. Sour cherry also showed up actually only in the finish along with a green apple notes. A little bit less intense than its "base", with atypically small amount of fruitiness, it was still a very pleasant brew.
