COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is the result of blending black cherries lambic of different ages followed by a second fermentation in the bottle. Storage is similar like geuze. All bottles are champagne corked and can be reserved, in normal conditions, for more than thirty years. It is obvious that an amazing taste evolution takes place.

Bottle at Akkurat in February 2013. (vintage 2003, we also tried a bottle from 1998 but the on from 2003 was tastier so I rate that one) Clear ruby with a small head. Aroma of sour cherries, some wood, dust and funk. The taste was nicely sour with cherries, wood, vinegar and funk. Medium carbonation and a light body. The finish was dry. A very nice one!

Bottle. Hazy deep red color without head. Acidic aroma of cherry, cellar and wild yeast. Very dry, acidic, bitter taste. Medium thin body.

Vintage 2007. ten years old lambick, 7 years in my beer cellar. 375ml half champagne bottle. Bez piany jak wino czerwone wytrawne bardzo ciemna bordowo-buraczana barwa. Kwasne octowe, ocet balsamiczny, nieco sliwki wegierki. Zdecydowanie wytrawne i bogato wisniowe piwo. Zapach bardzo szalonych drozdzy i fermentujacego cieplego wisniowego kompotu. Klasyk niemal idealny, po latach super wrazenia, takie ze najdrozsze wytrawne czerowne wina moga sie schowac w cieniu tego kieliszka od Lindemansa.

750ml bottle (thx, Alex G.!) shared with wife. Pours a reddish brown with a rose head. Aroma is cherry and balsamic vinegar. Similar taste. Too much balsamic in this one.

Hanssens Oude Kriek is a brilliant example of the Belgian Fruit Lambic. Aroma reveals high levels of both funkiness and fruitiness. Pour is little darker than your average Kriek. Tart cherry, vinegar, sherry, and barnyard flavor notes. Dry, vinous, and acidic feel. I certainly would be tempted to save a bottle for a very long time and see how it matures.

Bottle. A- Cherry, pool water, tart. A- Dark red color, clear liquid, light pink head. T- Sour, tart, funky, cherry. P- Light body, average texture, medium carbonation, tart finish. O- 3 years aged before bottling and 2 years on the shelf. At 5 years this was pretty good. Can’t imagine if I actually held it for 30 years. Still a little to funky for me but good.

[2014] 750ml bottle. Hazy dark red with a thin ring of pinkish white foam. Flavors are cherries, lemon, oak and funk with vinous notes. Medium body, soft carbonation, slick texture.

Bottle. Classic kriek - lots of tart cherries, some berries, some almonds, quite lots of vinegar notes and very acidic taste and finish.

750 ml bottle. Hazy red with off white pink head. Sour fruity with cherries, sour apples, funky barnyard, sour youghurt and balsamic vinegar. Dry, low bitterness with high sourness and medium carbonation.

Bottle - Medium roasted malts, cherry with a touch of balsamic. Deep jet maroon with a small white head. Acidic, cherry, little soy harshness.
