bottle
Red, almost purple colour. No head. Sourish aroma with notes of blueberries and cranberries. Sourish blueberry flavour ruined by some odd, nasty off-flavour.

Ungstrup (38595) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 25, 2007
Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. An unclear red beer with a thin off-white head. The arom ais acidic bret’y combined with notes of berries and wood. The flavor is acidic woody combined with notes of berries - can’t tell it is blueberries - , leading to a dry woody and bretty finish. The body is thin, but I quite like it.

omhper (25824) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 22, 2007
Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Cloudy red brown, small pink head. citric yeasty nose. Lemon and citric acid are accentuated. There is not much barnyard, and just as in Cantillon Blåbær Lambik the blueberry flavour is hard to pinpoint, resulting in more of a general fruitiness. Fresh and quite tasty, but not reaching the complexity of the real lambics.

oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - SEP 6, 2007
[email protected] Dark and deep red colour, with not very much head. Aroma is blueberries along with some slight cherry hints. Flavour is mainly sourness in a rather unpleasant way.

Keg (Pikkulintu, Helsinki)
Dark red, little head. Cider aroma. Quite cidery taste too, some phenolic taste, hangs around, a bit off-putting. Nasty finish because of that.

Tranquillity (2532) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 17, 2007
Draught @ Pikkulintu, Helsinki. Minty, cool aroma. Dark red cognac colour, small white head. The aroma promises well, but the taste isn’t quite up to it. And where are the blueberries??

3.3
sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2007 ([email protected], Helsinki) Somewhat hazy, deep darkish red with a very small head. Moderately tart, slightly sugary aroma of cherries, blueberry and strawberry. Some barnyard aromas, too. Reasonably tart and acidic, smoothly berryish flavor with some slightly unpleasantly sour tones in the finish. Also lacks the astringency of the originals in the finish. Light to medium-bodied with soft carbonation. A pretty well done lambic imitation, without a sugar dressing.
