Bottle. Moderate to heavy cookie, roasted and caramel, moderate cooked orange for the hops, moderate dough and leather for the yeast, with notes of date and toffee. Head is small, wispy, off-white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is murky medium orange/tan. Flavor starts moderately to heavily sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is medium to full, oily with a almost flat carbonation and a lightly alcoholic and chewy finish. Big and bold aromas and flavors combined with a perfect feel make this a relatively easy drinking Barley Wine. madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013

Bottle. Pours orange with a off white head. Smells and tastes like a bitter fruit cake with hops. Warming. Yeasty. Spicy. mansquito (6695) - Nueva York, New York, USA - OCT 19, 2012
New Beer Distributors, NY 330ml ($3): 2009 bottle. Pours a brownish murk with a small head. Aroma is boozy, sugary, malty, and cakish. Taste is slightly boozy. Rather sweet. Mouthfeel is much lighter than expected. This ain’t that good of a barley wine. The extra years didn’t seem to mellow out the booze taste, but whatever, it was actually pretty easy to drink and that ain’t ever a bad thing. fletchfighters (1546) - AUSTRALIA - OCT 2, 2012
Thanks to Baggio for the bottle
Dark orange brown color, half finger of off white head that went to nada very quickly. Obvious ABV legs.
nose is of dried salted pork, quite odd but nice. Underneith the pork nose was dried cherries, strawberries, apricots and a lot of near burnt caramel. Big nose.
Big and rich taste and feel. Still a bit of pork taste but big caramel backbone followed by stone fruits . Big bodied, obvious alcohol, and low carbonation.
Nice barleywine. jredmond (8445) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 23, 2012
