Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, prune, dark dried berry, light alcohol. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft and smooth. 
From tap at Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours hazy and golden deep orange with a small tan head. Roasted malt, wineous and fruity. Flavour is dense caramel malty and a nice roasted note, bitter and slight floral. Wineous ad solid breadish into the finish. Ends dry and bitter. [At Stockholm Beer Festival 2005] An unclear brown beer with a lazing light brown head. The aroma is sweet hoppy combined with notes over over ripe fruit. Bottle. Pours a hazy orange color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma with hints of caramel and dark fruit. Fruity malty dry bitter dark fruit flavor. Has a dry fruity malty bitter finish with some hints of dark fruit.

Hazy nut brown colour, beige foamy head. Sweet caramellish alcoholic flavour and aroma. Aroma also some old vegetables and toffee. Caramellish aftertaste. Gelt like it will get better later. Brew gone bad this year. 4 3 7 3 11
Now this was what it probably should be. Ambery reddish colour with small beige head. Aroma is vanilla, hops, sweet caramel malts and alcohol in an excellent balance. Flavour is sweet malts, alcohol, madeirawine some nectary and wooden notes also. Mild chocolateish notes in the finish. Really good. 8 4 8 4 16.

(On tap) Slightly hazy, deep dark golden amber with an off-white almost beige head. Aroma of overripe fruit and alcohol. Quite full-bodied with sweetish overripe fruit, nuts and a distinct alcoholic finish. Some medicinal notes also. Cloudy brown beer, nice pale tan head. Palate is airy and a little dry. Rich malt with a little cream. Tiny bit of aniseed. Trace of dried fruits. Orange. Somewhat spicy dry finish. Well joined up tasty barleywine.
