Bottle. Moderate to heavy cookie, roasted and caramel, moderate cooked orange for the hops, moderate dough and leather for the yeast, with notes of date and toffee. Head is small, wispy, off-white with no lacing and is fully diminishing. Color is murky medium orange/tan. Flavor starts moderately to heavily sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweet and lightly acidic and bitter. Palate is medium to full, oily with a almost flat carbonation and a lightly alcoholic and chewy finish. Big and bold aromas and flavors combined with a perfect feel make this a relatively easy drinking Barley Wine. Turtles (2847) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 21, 2016
330ml bottle from Systembolaget, vintage 2014, abv 10.4%. Murky brown with a fizzy tan head that disappears quickly, leaving no lacing. A lot of raisins in the aroma, Sangria and dried fruit, malt and dough. Smooth, sweet and rounded mouthfeel, mildly carbonated. Very sweet taste, raisins dominate, toffee, honey and dates. Too sweet. brown colour, minimal sized beige-ish head; aroma and taste of dried plum, dates maybe apricot and raisins soaked in cognac, walnut, some chocolate and herbal liqueur notes; great barley wine! Ober (2814) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - DEC 22, 2009
A hazy brown colored beer, with a thick foamy beige head. The aroma of caramel with fruits like cherry and prunes. The taste of caramel, some chocolate with overripe fruits. It moves from sweet to bitter, with some alcohol in the back. The aftertaste is bitter with some sweet. TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 16, 2015
2009 edition. Pours a hazy light brown with off-white head. Sweet malts and dark fruits on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with some funky malt. Just ok.

Malty and caramel aroma. Caramel is best in taste. It has a really "Barley Wine" of saithe in both taste and aroma. The upper part of the mouth gets its bitterness for a long while. But feels most mediocre anyway. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings. Jeppe (2631) - Brooklyn, Alabama, USA - JAN 3, 2006

Hazy amberorange with a foamy tan head. Sweet aroma, mostly of chocolate and caramel with a candied edge and some note of toffee and cake in there as well. Nice, full and complex. Flavor has malt and chocolate along with caramel and a nice and warming alcohol tone. The mouthfeel is soft and smooth with a dry finish. Good one!
Bottle from Saveur-Biere.com - Color: deep dark brown beer with no carbonation and medium brown head. Smell: caramel and sweet malt domination. Brown sugar and sugar cane notes with rum and raisin notes. Impressive nose. Taste: full body with caramel malt and brown sugar with toffee domination and rum barrel notes. Fruity with raisin and plums. Good attenuation. Alcohol finish. Aftertaste: caramel, rum, astringent alcohol and sugar. StefanSD (2451) - Ouray, Colorado, USA - JUL 24, 2014
330 ml bottle courtesy of Alex. Thanks. Pours a dark brown color with a small off-white head that recedes to a fine film. The aroma is raisins, carrots and slightly sour toffee. The taste had ample raisins, brown sugar and some nuts, but not very much bitterness. The palate was full and a bit oily with soft carbonation. Finishes short and sweet. Overall: Interesting brew, a nice change of pace from the barley wines that I typically get. TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - JUN 4, 2012
