Overly sweet and after an overwhelming start it looses it’s power quickly. Lots of chocolate and licorice, nicely roasted. After a while the sweetness gets annoying however.
Pours a black beer, no head, just a dark beige small rim agains the glass. Smells very smoked, wood, oily and coffee. Taste is somewhat bittersweet caramel which ends in coffee. That’s pretty much the only thing that is left in the aftertaste. Burnt (not roasted) malts. If I want this, I can just drink some strong cold coffee. thomat (3927) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 3, 2010
