Bottle. This is a tart impy with a thin body and relatively flat flavor profile. While I would take it over a pale lager any day its not worth the $ given other products on the market.

Almost a finger of tan head. Pitch black body. Smell is roasted malt, charred wood and molasses. Nice and bold. The taste is roasted malt with a touch of sweetness and a dry bitter finish. Pretty good. The body was a little light and fizzy for an imperial stout. A well built ale.

Black. Very slight tan head. Molasses, roast, and licorice aroma. Sweet and roasty taste. Medium body. Good, but not great.

11.2 oz. bottle- Pours almost pitch black with a tan head that reduces to a collar. Aroma is chocolate malt, alcohol, molasses. The taste is very European, it has a mineral quality to it, roasted chocolate malt, that well water is intense, imparting a very unique taste. Body is medium, which is thinner than usual for the style, carbonation is medium high, which is also unusual. Overall I can see why people have rated this lower than other impy stouts, I just disagree with them! This is interesting, different, not thick as molasses, but smooth, drinkable, and very good. If it isn’t oak aged in some type of bourbon or wine or something, and amped up to 12%, some raters think it doesn’t deserve a good rating, they are idiots!

New Beer Distributors, NY 330ml ($3): Pours a black color with a brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, some smoke. Taste is chocolatey, with a coffee bite. Some sugar, which lingers into the aftertaste. Nice amount of roast. Aftertaste is big. While this is not a big beer in Imperial Stout terms, it is quite substantial. Also, this is one of the better beers I got from this brewery.

Draught. Black with tan head. Nose is very coffee-licorice- roasty. Makes me think of coopers stout. Some port wine also. And wood. Body is medium full, tons of licorice, roasted flavors. A bit of port wine again. Feels dry on the palate. A bit short and not that great for an IS.

God, men, något saknas. Vill ha den fylligare bl.a.

Opaque black amber with a 1/2" head, and splashes of lace. Taste of sour roasted malt that is infused with a bitter chocolate near the finish. Big, full-bodied, but not as satisfying as I would expect.
