Almost a finger of tan head. Pitch black body. Smell is roasted malt, charred wood and molasses. Nice and bold. The taste is roasted malt with a touch of sweetness and a dry bitter finish. Pretty good. The body was a little light and fizzy for an imperial stout. A well built ale.

Zwart bier met beige/licht bruine schuimkraag. Geur: geroosterde mout, koffie, kruidig, beukennoten ietwat aards. Smaak: geroosterde moutbitterheid, wat zoet, licht kruidig. Lichte tot medium body. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: licht zoet, kruidig. Goede stout, maar te weinig straf voor een Imperial.

Bottle poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lingering ring of brown foam. Aromas of roasted malt, dried fruit, cocoa, licorice and light coffee. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark chocolate, dried fruit, light licorice and a hint of roastiness with a smooth lingering chocolate finish.

2 finger beige head. Close to pitch black beer.

Aroma is dark chocolate, prunes, cacao powder, caramel, dark bread, brown sugar, cream and slight epresso.

Taste is hazelnuts, slight coffee, liquorice, slight lactose and slight raisins.

Mouthfeel is light and thin, but quite creamy and smooth. Low bitterness. Very low carbonation.

Overall: This shouldn't be called Imperial Stout in my opinion. More like a Single Porter to be honest. Not bad, pleasant even. But I require a lot more from my Impy's.

På fat på Bishops Arms Örebro. Svart med ljusbrunt skum. Doft av tjära, kaffe, choklad och lite portvin. Smak av kaffe och rökt, bränd malt med toner av choklad på slutet.

Black with a brown head - Malt aroma with some notes of roasted malt - Malt body with some roasted flavours with hints of chocolate flavours - Malt with some orasted not6tes goes into the finish with some bitterness - This was nice

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Almost black with dark beige head. Licorice, coffee, lots of roast, light red berries, cocoa beans. Light sweet, under medium bitter and again light sour. Over medium bodied. It’s a bit weird, not bad at all but not something I’d drink a lot of, a bit too much sour coffee.

Bottle shared at home. Big thanks to Slijterij Paauwenburg for this treat! Black with tan head. Sweet roasted malts, coffee berries, toffee, taffy, hints of kopi luwak, chocolate, licorice, laurel. Moderate sweet and bitter. Over medium body, bit watery, bit creamy, nice stout.

Bottle sample, thanks Max. Brown-black with a big beige head. Aroma is roasted with notes of chocolate and coffee. Sweet, roasted, caramel, chocolate, soy, prunes. Medium bodied, a bit too carbonated. Nice.

Bottle sample at Ariel’s place. Thanks Max. Black with a tan head. Chocolate, roast, a bit of soy sauce, some coffee, a bit of dark fruits, sweet, chewy, quite full-bodied, rounded. Really good.

Bottle from Beergium. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, some chocolate and coffee, touch of ash and tobacco, notes of dried dark fruits and mild liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Above medium body with lively carbonation. Agreeable Stout, a bit mild for the style.
