Sampled at the brewery. Mild malt and brewed tea aroma. Sweetish. Dark copper brown clear with thin head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts and stays sweet with rich caramel and biscuit. Malty with nutty undertones. Mild warming. Light hop character at finish with sweet after. UPDATED: JUL 13, 2014 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a very dark brown - almost black color with a medium sized creamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy and malty wood, molasses, cherry and rum. The flavor was wood and smoky with a bit of dark fruits and bread and a sour off undertone. The finish was long sour, cherry, rum, wood and was a bit off. Moderately full bodied and creamy. Ok.
