1/2 Pint Cask @ Old Red Crow. Dark amber brown, deep tanned head. Nose is dull UK caramel, leaves malts. Taste is herbal, creamy but malt, sugar, cereal, oily UK toffee, herbal finish,… Malty oily body. Quite a decent better but nothing hoppy or at least in any modern IPA fashion here more like a fair Bitter.

Nice dark nutty color with a fine tan head on top. Ok lacing. Fine intensity in the aroma with some nice hoppy notes. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Ok balanced sweetness and bitterness. Bready, citric, fruity and some roast in the flavor. Nice tasty ale.

Cask conditioned at The Chequers, Oxford. Brown amber with white head. There is a pleasing hop kick to this from the start, resinous notes, piney with a citrus edge. There is a floral hint then a light caramel, toffee note, certainly not overwhelming in any way. A solid good beer.

Pint at the Black Bull Gateshead. Hazy brown creamy white head. Marmalade on toast aroma, similar flavour with some nice toffee malt. Palate a little thin, but O.K.

Citrus fruits, orange, brown and toasted malts. Clear brown, small, creamy, off-white head. light bitter and sweet. More toasted malts, bread and grain malts, some pine, more orange and some grapefruit. Very nice Brown Ale, wished they would all be like this one. Cask at CASK Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico.

ManVsBeer (10954) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 4, 2016
Cask @ Smithfield Market Tavern, Manchester. Golden-brown with a creamy-head. Has a gritty-hoppy character in a smooth tasting, palatable texture. There’s some fruit too.
