500ml bottle. Bronze with a scummy white foam. Annoying peach iced tea aroma; floral, peachy, a bit sickly. That same flavour without the hops to lay claim to IPA status. Sponge cake infused with peach air freshener; honey, orange Smartie notes. Wouldve loved this 5 years ago but Im a fussy bugger these days and too into the hops. Pleasant enough but too watery, peachy and malt-sweet for me or the missus.

Cask, Mariners Great Yarmouth. Dark golden appearance with white fading head. Orange marmalade aroma. The aroma translates somewhat to the taste. There is also another distinctive flavour in there which it took me a while to put my finger on, but I would say its water melon. This follows on with a pleasant if not too strong an aftertaste. Its quite an interesting drink, slightly different from the norm which is good, not your typical 5% IPA.

Cask at Holborn Whippet. Golden colour with a white head. Pine, citrus and grapefruit. Hops with subtle malts. Dry finish. Pretty average, nice tho.

Gentle fruit (+ apricot + pineapple + grapefruit). Vegetal/musky whiff, bit like Nelson Sauvin but much less tropical. Tastes grassy, and of waxy lemon, with a bit of caramel malt. Bit too restrained for my liking, as per previous time I tried it, but covers a lot of bases (albeit faintly).

Cask at the rake. Quite pleasant but pretty boring. Not hoppy enough but a strange taste

Clear amber pint with thin head. Light aroma of lemon and nuts. Light taste of grass, lemon, caramel. Some tartness before a medium, long bitter finish kicks in. A little watery but reasonably good overall.

Bottle from Saintsburys, consumed at home. Light gold, pretty much clear. Big white head but ir settles fairly quickly. Gentle orange and apricot aroma. Tastes bitter with a soft citrus sweetness, turning to a more emphatic bitter to the long luicy hoppy finish. Strong tropical fruit on the aftertaste. Carbonation is aggressive. Its a good beer if fairly muted for an IPA. Easy drinking, it hangs together very nicely, hence the fairly high rate.

500ml bottle from The Bottle Bank. Clear golden colour with a one finger white head and good retention, lacing. Aroma of American hops, grapefruit, malt, citrus, pine. Lovely hoppy flavour with a good amount of malt too, well balanced, sweet and bitter, citrus, lemon. Moderate carbonation, nice mouthfeel, little bit sweeter than other IPAs but I like it. A decent IPA.

500ml bottle from Sainsburys. Pours fizzy clear light orange with big bubbles in the white head. Aroma of candy floss, citrus, pine and marshmallows. Taste nicely bitter with good sweetness.
